So in 2 weeks Fabregas has now won more trophies than he did in the last 6 years at Arsenal.

Spanish super cup and The European super cup count I think....
2 trophies in 2 games? :p

Felt a bit sorry for Porto, looked decent until their midfielder tried to pass back to the goalie only to find Messi 10 yards behind the defence with just the keeper to beat. Then they get denied a penalty at one end and given a red card straight down the othr :p

sure you can... but then you got to count charity shield medals in England... not that it makes a difference to Arsenals count really. lol

That said, even without the sendings off, Porto didnt look the same team they did last season

Park Chu-Young on the verge of signing for Arsenal according to the beeb. Never seen him play but I know he has a decent record in the french league. Also a good signing re. spreading the brand in Asia etc. Hopefully better than Dong Fangzhou

He's very good, liked him for a couple of years. Has great Free Kick technique (I believe he was only one of two players to score direct from a free kick in the 2010 world cup... the other was Keisuke Honda).

Would love a Korean at Arsenal :D

Does sound like a "get into asia signing". They need some top top quality players, not just decent players, if they want to challenge on multiple fronts

He's probably Korea's best player now Park has retired, he'll definitely add some much needed depth up front.

Whilst that is true, i stand by the fact they need a world class (or near) signing for the midfield. And a Centreback, but just a good one for there should do the trick

Our lack of punch going forward this season has been quite obvious. Yes we could do with a Mid and a Def, but we do need a Striker too.

Enjoyable 20 minutes at the start of the second half, good performances from the defence, Petrov and Gabby. Manager was poor, McCarthy outthought him and took the point they came for.

Wolves look solid this year. Given how poor the promoted teams and Blackburn are I think we'll be playing this fixture again next year in the Premier League. Just hope that Randy Lerner takes note of the shocking attendance levels and either puts back into the club the money he's made off player sales or buggers off.

Standard of the league this year seems down on previous years, no one is really exciting the socks offa me. Chelsea sound like they have been under the cosh after scoring.

Was walking down the streets of Valencia today, checking out the city, and all of a sudden there was Mestalla. I decided to go buy a ticket for tonight's game against Racing Santander, but I have no knowledge what so ever about Valencia. Anything that I should know before I go there in about two hours time?
