Not at all, in the first half Spurs looked the stronger side. It was very apparent to everyone.

Fair point, when Spurs came out the tunnel they looked great, then the game started.

Aaron one run Lennon, doing loads to stake his claim for an England spot. He's not fit to polish Johnsons boots!

Pretty good game.

We were in it for 50 minutes, Utd bossed the 2nd half though, far far better team. Nothing there to say we wont challenge again for Europe as long as Harry brings in a striker and a better def mid., plus plenty of players to come back from injury. Distinct lack of fitness though and Utd away, City home is one shit start to the season.

Aye he's got nasty streak. Spurs had decent possession, in the first half but rarely troubled Jones, Evans or smalling. It's exciting to think of the young lads coming through now! 6 English players on display today and all of them played their part. Jones looks so solid at the back.

Then Liverpool and Arsenal, its a very rough start for you.

Difference is Rooney and Torres generally put in those performnaces most matches Gabby has no consistency at all. So there's no point talking about something that would be considered a fluke :p

When it suits them, yeah :p

Oh ofc but you know what I mean, nice to hear Wellbeck talking about him and cleverly understanding each other from playing together for years. Ferdinand is gonna have to work to get back in now. Evans was very composed as well, nice to see he's recovered as last year he had a bit of a mare.

The young defenders looked good... was great to see the CB's talking to the other players even during defensive moves. For instance when they were 3 on 3 and smalling came in to get the guy on the ball but was told to leave him and go to the running out wide.

Also nice to see De Gea making his mouth go at corners and free kicks, his distribution is very good for a keeper!

Aye his distribution is great... people were saying he be a mess over all that happened but he looked very confident in his abilities.

Sure there was an error on the cross near the end, and semi spilled a couple. But he was getting his body behind the shots and making a couple of decent saves. I just think he needs time to settle and get some good coaching

I enjoyed that :)

Spuds just didn't have the legs to keep it up. The defending for Ando's goal was shocking, they just let him run through to shoot. As for the long shots, what a waste of possession.

Fucking Bollocks

Defoe needs to learn to shoot and stop those stupid runs across the back of the defence

Van der Vaart needs to stop shooting, that last shot over the bar was especially dreadful

In general we looked tired, City at home next weekend after Hearts midweek - hoping we play a scratch XI on Thursday

De Gea looked dodgy at times, but we didn't test him properly at all

Our midfield was dominated, I said at HT that Anderson was ruling the midfield - he had so much space to move into, that second goal was wonderful but we backed off so much. The defence had a great view of a great move, but I'd appreciate it if they at least tried to tackle players before they got near our box.

I wish I was as good in goal as Friedel now, let alone when I'm 40

Nani is a shit Michael Jackson.

The shit Barcelona chant was a) stupid and b) backfired

United fans don't sing, at least where the away end is, but seeing as it's more like a kindergarten is perhaps understandable
