If you look at the stats, Valencia supplied more assists for more than half of Rooney's goals last season. Nani is a different kind of player and doesn't cross anywhere near as well as Valencia. I fully expect to see Rooney start scoring at a more normal rate in the next couple of months.

As for Chicarito, Fergie isn't going to pile the pressure on the lad at this stage and I am pleased about that, he is being given a very stage managed introduction to English football which is designed to keep his confidence high whilst learning to adapt himself to the rigors of our league. I don't see Rooney being dropped anytime soon, his performances have been mostly very good just lacking goals but he has contributed alot to team play and that counts for something at United. By the end of March though he will need to be scoring at least one in every other game if he is going to justify continued selection in the starting eleven.

played a pretty good team, just nasri got injured, squillaci got sent off and denilson got injured. Had to bring on super sub cesc to try n save the day, but only a last min penalty saved us.
