2 gorgeous goals there. That cani goal is a beauty, you only strike a ball that sweetly once in your life.

Sounds like the board are not giving those LOL high wages any more and Ivanovic is holding out for as much as possible.

Sky are reporting Chamberlain is on his way out of Southampton, Arsenal are favourites, with United and City also in the running.

i doubt Rooney himself handles it, more likely he has a guy hired to handle this kind of thing, and if you hire someone to save you money, they wouldnt be doing a good job if they didnt save you anything!

and if its legal now then its up to government/HMRC to close the loops if they want to

Im a bit gutted he wants to leave but i dont really want players at sunderland who dont wanna be here , £18m is a decent profit aswell for someone whos gave half hearted performances for weeks now.

I think that's pretty poor from Bent; I can't understand given Sunderlands league position, form and obvious intent with their signings why he'd want to go to Villa.

He hasn't given half hearted performances, he just hasn't scored and when you rely so heavily on him like you did last year you start to notice when he isn't banging them in week in week out.

18million is a very good return and would allow you to temp SAF to sell Wellbeck along with picking up another top player.

£18 to £24m is a bonkers fee for Bent. I like the player but he isn't worth anything like that. Besides if Houllier introduces the passing game he promises to the system will not suit him as he thrives on the ball over the top.

Starving O'Neill of funds and giving them to the geriatric Frenchman is a deeply odd decision by Lerner. And hands off Downing! Our best player this season by a mile.

Is it just me or is there only "football fans" who support the following teams posting in this thread?

Chelsea
Man Utd
City
Liverpool
Aston Villa
Wolves
Man City

... how many teams are there in the UK...? just shows that most people are glory hunters (myself included) really :/ I guess no one wants to support the unknown teams, just bit stupid really.
Lurking Spurs fan over here. :)

Also, £10k fine for Babel, what a joke. :\

I am not really suprised about Bent, a bit dissapointed but if £24 mil is the figure quoted I will drive him to Birmingham myself!
