Arshavin doesn't "play" anywhere. He sits around doing nothing till he can shoot. Neither of them are the running threat of Walcott, infact I think Eboue is the only other winger you have now.

Unless you go to the youth team you are proly right.

Theo off to hospital for a scan on his ankle. Sky Player to the rescue.

Infact, thinking about it, if you played Arshavin on the right, who would fill in on the left without Nasri? Double up with Clichy and Gibbs? Would certainly give you some pace back into the team.

Denmark styling hard on Iceland with a glorious 1-0 victory in a well played match with lots of pace and good form from the Danish side

Max points so far. This is the Danish Decade of Dynasty in football

Adam Johnson played well again? this can't be right he's shit... An yet he still played SWP, arguably the most overrated player in the prem, more a of championship player imo.

SWP was awful again, I think his time has come and gone now, best to move on and give the others more chances.

I can't understand how he keeps picking SWP but Ashley Young hardly gets a look in. Beats the hell out of me.

That scuffed pass to Darren Bent just summed it up for me last night.

I'm amazed he's anywhere near the international setup.

Aston Villa | News | Latest | News | Gerard Houllier appointed Villa manager

One of the better options available to us. Whatever some forumites may have thought Bob Bradley would have been a terrible appointment, ditto Southgate. Sven might have been okay and Curbishley is an ex Villa player and decent guy but not a particularly good manager.

Houllier is hardly a long term appointment, though, at 63 and with his health problems. I wonder how he'll cope with a smaller budget? But then maybe the Villa hierarchy are hoping he can poach some of the French youngsters and 'do a Wenger'.
