Manchester United's Ryan Giggs reveals the secret behind his 20-years of success at Old Trafford - not concentrating on the flash cars, money and nice house - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk remember this ? :)

Giggs, who will start for United at Chelsea tonight, puts his continued success down to a combination of natural talent and a conscious decision early in his career to lead his life away from the glare of public scrutiny.

"It's not one thing," said Giggs. "It's a mixture. First of all, what you're born with - genetics. Then you couple that with trying to live your life the right way.

"When I got into the first-team there was a lot of hype [around me] with celebrity girlfriends and photographers following me all over the place.

"I made a conscious decision that I didn't really like it and wanted to keep a low profile. I've tried to do that as much as you can do in this day and age.

"But you can still shy away from it. If you live a relatively quiet life you can just concentrate on your football and be as professional as you can. You've got to do that to last as long as I have.

He's such a family man :D xD

The spanish press outed him because the injuctions dont count outside of england

Actually it's a super injunction so it applies world wide, so if they are naming giggs, it's not him.

It's not a super-injunction though, it's an injunction. The press are really bad at reporting it correctly. If it was a super injunction they wouldnt be able to mention it whatsoever.

Thats a problem for him and his family, not the press, also doesn't change the way I think of him as a footballer.

Not as a footballer at all, no.

But as a man, yes. Especially after his comments.

I've said it before when his name originally came up that no matter the player/team I would loose respect for that person to a degree, even more so if said person has tried to push a public image of being a rather clean living and honest.

Yeah, if it was Eboué I'd probably have to change my opinion on the man.

Thankfully it's not, as Eboué is a brilliant human being, if a pretty shaky footballer.

I really could not care less about this crap. I don't look up to Giggs because how he lives his personal life, I look up to him because of what he can do on a football pitch. Nothing else about him has anything to do with us.

i read an article a while back saying there's about 40 injunctions in place at the moment, with most of them being premier league footballers

The thing is, the press scream about freedom of the press and how this could stop us holding our leaders to account - bullshit, all they care about is the stories that would make them money they cannot now print.

I'm not concerned about tabloid trash newspapers not being able to publish something because quite frankly I detest most of them and would like to see them fail. I tend to be more concerned over the facts related to the moral implications and the collateral damage that is caused by guess work.

I thought this injunction was about Giggsy? when i was looking on the BBC site, it's saying though the player has the initials CTB?

Is it more of a coverup, or it is actually someone else potentially?

Well the injunction to be about giggs is mainly stemming from twitter, where they admitted that many of the details published were incorrect.

In most injunction hearings, the press arent even allowed to attend etc. It a mockery to be honest, and the injunction actually causes alot of harm to "innocent" people, rather than protecting the offenders. Kinda shity really and they need to do away with them

I think the international courts have one or two more important things to worry about than a footballers love life...

Yea, instead they should care about the stories which won't sell papers :p

Giggs and his legal team really have not thought this whole suing twitter crap through though :D it's just going to damage his reputation more.. if he comes out now and admits it all, then it won't damage his rep as much really.

Also, about the "doesn't change the way I think of him as a footballer." comment.. is it the same with Joey Barton & Steven Gerrard for instance? doubt it.

As if they would use the persons real initials .. it would be too obvious :p

Yo have a super injunction but lets give everyone a real big clue who you are while you try and defend it mr CTB or should i say RG

ofc they wouldnt give the correct initials
