i think it'd work fine. THere was a good 30 seconds before the corner was taken, more than enough time for the 4th official to look at his screen, then whisper in the refs ear and change to a penalty. No extra wait.
In that situation yes but what if the ball had stayed in play and Man U had gone on a break and scored?
Ohh yeah Man U official waiting to give the Lino a pat on the back that does not look suspicious!!
exactly the reason why I am against it for open play decisions. Yes over the line decisions can prevent a break away but they are a clear yes or no, where as some over decisions are on the eye of the beholder. What the 4th official says is an offence, the referee on the day may disagree (if it isnt clear cut), and vica versa.
Goal line tech needs to be rallied for as its own this as long as it is bundled with appeals ect Uefa will reject it. But for the sake of a few sensors its is mind blowing that its not already in place, have it send a signal to the refs watch just like when the lino presses the button on his flag and you have zero delay. Ref wonders if it has crossed the line and a quick check of his watch lets him know it has or hasn't.
fucking awful defending, but htey deserve it.
park fucking just stood there
