Haven't watched Wolves play much admittedly but if they put in as much effort today as they do in the remaining games it's possible.

Playing each match like a cup final currently, hence the mass celebrations by both players/coachs/fans after the match. I oddly can see us getting something from Villa Park. Relegation battle is going to be close, but I personally feel we can stay up but I do have my black and gold tinted glasses on.

Big George is a cult figure, can't knock him. Yeh, if we stay up then major investment in the defense as our attack is pretty much perfect for midtable imho. Think we will do well to keep hold of Jarvis however.

From The Guardian's Daniel Taylor on Twitter: "MUFC say Sir Alex Ferguson not speaking to media after LFC defeat, including MUTV. Players under orders not to talk as well."

Is there any obligation to speak to the media or is Fergie allowed to do this?

Yes I think all Premiership managers have to speak to the official broadcasters after the game. Fergie doesn't ever speak to the BBC and I think Man U pay his fine for him.

The Fergster not talking to the BBC was due to be looked at some time, now I guess they've just got a few more things to add in now.

Fergi hasnt been fined, at least not publicly. There was meant to be a meeting at the end of last year but nothing was said.

Basically for every interview you refuse to give to the rights holders (Sky/BBC/Talksport) you are meant to get a fine, with the amount increasing each time.

But on the bbc i just read that as far as they know there has never been an official complaint made about fergi not giving interviews (to the bbc mainly) and so there shouldnt be action until an official complaint made.

Ah I misread it, I thought he was being fined not just the threat of being fined.

well they were meant to decide on what action to take, thing is the club gave interviews but not him. They got to decide what is best. Fergi taking an interview from bbc and saying nothing, or letting Phelan do it and give a proper interview. Nothing says that the manager needs to answer what is asked afteral

Not giving a red:

YouTube - Nani injury (brutal tackle from Jamie Carragher) - Liverpool vs Manchester United (3-1) 06.03.2011

If u think that is playing the ball you know nothing about football

pls ban him again. He has never brought anything great to FH, which I assume is also why he was perma-banned in the first place?

Even if he was given a red card, Liverpool would have still won :p

Wasn't you banned too? :worthy: you seem to bring a lot to FH too btw.

seems someone is mad btw?

Well fuck that. I stayed off the internet all day so I could watch the game tonight and that's the performance I see? Shite.

Liverpool were much better and United have been riding their luck for a while. Carrick was a liability as always.

Fuck :( Much improvment neede.

How are Man U top of the league ?

Standards in the premiership have dropped drastically since the early-mid naughties :/

We were without our main centre back pairing, don't judge us based on yesterday. Once we have everyone back fit in 3-4 weeks I expect much stronger performances, we looked fragile yesterday and alot of that was to do with overcompensating for a weak defence.

They are top because they've still won when playing bad as I've said many times, at least they did until recently. It might well be they are no longer able to play bad and still win, if that is the case they could be in real trouble.

I don't think that is true in general, this year has been a bit of a downer for any one who is solely focused on a single team but overall there is no denying this year has been rather exciting and intense.

There's absolutely no consistency in any of the top teams. Compare that with some of the Arsenal and Man U campaigns from a few years back and there's a world of difference.

In fact every team is the new Liverpool :)

Turning into a cracking 4th quarter of the season for a neutral.

I reckon Chelsea are far from out of this title race yet. Potentially 3 points behind Man U and they don't look like finishing the rest of the season unbeaten. We just need to go on a little run now and who knows?

This reckoning may change in an hour or two after we've lost embarassingly to Blackpool of course.
