Imo, hes one of the best, if not the best, youngsters at the moment (barely a couple of season in the elite). He has been working on his phisical condition a lot (guy only had fuel for 60min /game) and now his game is almost 100% regular every match.

His first few games he looked totally out of sorts. He got subbed at half time in one of those games. Now he looks a class act.

As stated above he had poor fitness, still played well for an hour in his first few games from what I remember, getting a few assists and goals.

The thing is, there are quite a few young talented german youngsters about. England are at the stage Germany where 10 years ago.

I go watching youth games and Xavi is totally on the button with his comments. There is this one lad on liverpools books, a forward whos a big lump, much bigger for his age who bangs the goals in, but there is nothing else to his game, just his pyhsicality and then there is this other lad, bags of pace, quality range of passing and awesome first touch and no one wants him but its obvious hes the best player in that team. I know what you mean, you get forwards like Delfounso and Frank Nouble who dominate at lower age groups but when they finally start playing with players their own size they look pretty average and their "development" seemingly stops.

I think some clubs are beginning to recognise it now, what with Spain's success.

I've been saying this for years on these forums. Xavi hit the nail on the head, most of the coaches are picking players to win games at their respective teams. Not to coach the kids better.
