lollerpool actually lookin pretty good for once this season.

They were always going to be up for this one, they could come 17th in the league but beating us at Old Trafford would make their season bareable.

I think they look as poor a side as they have done all season, doing very little on the ball and just defending in numbers. Rodriguez has done nothing but give the ball away and Gerrard is playing too deeply to be an effective supply for Torres.

You are blind, nearly everyone who isn't a Man Utd fan is saying it's a dive, it was a blatent dive.

Your best defender can't even handle a bouncing ball :)

I didn't deny he'll went down easy, but it was a foul, not a no contact dive.

Bye bye gerrard

As soon as I saw Webb I knew it would be 12vs11 :p

12v11 much

You want me to dig out the stats on Howard Webb in regards to liverpool?

He sent of more Utd players then Liverpool players in matches between the 2 clubs.

And in others vs Liverpool, he sent off more "others" then Liverpool players.

But liverpool fans never seem to remember this :p

.
Stevie G sending off... maybe a little harsh.. BUT jumped in, 2 feet of the ground, studs leading, no control of the tackle = Dangerous tackle that could injury a player = Red.
So can understand that one.
...

Admittingly, Berbatov went down easy. But then Gerrard would have went down with NO contact. Least Berbatov waited for contact. :twak:

EDIT:
2008–09

* West Ham United, Mark Noble, second caution (37 minutes) v. Manchester City
* Manchester United, Nemanja Vidić, second caution (90 minutes) v. Liverpool
* Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo, second caution (68 minutes) v. Manchester City
* Arsenal, Emmanuel Adebayor, second caution (62 minutes) v. Liverpool
* Newcastle United, Sébastien Bassong, violent conduct (60 minutes) v. Fulham

so in 2008/09 season:
40% players sent off were Man Utd players
40% of players sent off were Liverpool Opposition

Seems the bias is the other way
(09/10 didnt have players involved in either side sent off)

I will say though that penalty decision was shocking.

There was slight contact which Berbatov made the most of, Im sure Gerrard / Torres would have done the same thing.

You are wrong!
Gerrard would have fell down before the player got to touch him :flame:

In modern game, any contact has 80%+ of the players hitting the deck to force a referee to make a decision. It an unfortunate thing in this era of football

Are you watching the game thats going on today or a replay of one from years ago? Liverpool have done nothing in this game of any note other than a Kuyt shot from distance, they have ran around alot and put alot of effort in but other than that I cant see how you come to the conclusion that Liverpool have been the better side.

A sign of a championship winning team is getting results when the team not playing well.

With that said, neither team in this game have been up to much. It pretty much just going from one defense to the other without much happening. A tackle, get possession, lose possession.
Hardly been any flowing football at all.

Liverpool been closing down well, but they only really created one chance (Rio cleared 3yrds out with Torres behind him). Beyond that they not done anything which resembled a chance of winning the game.

Shouldnt have been a penalty but should for sure have been a red card so imo hes only got one major decision wrong.

When it was 11 vs 11 i thought we had more of the game. Horrific dive from Berbatov. I am equally disgusted when Gerrard does it, which he does. Still doesnt change that Berbatov dived... i dont think there was any contact, Agger shaped to tackle and didnt touch him. As for the red card; it was a 50/50 ball, Carrick got there first and Gerrard went off the ground. Always going to be a red in this day and age, but the contact on Carrick was minimal, evidenced by his miraculous recovery. I thought he might get away with it as it wasnt onto a standing leg, and he was coming across Carrick rather than directly going through him. Standard Rio in and around the referee, but he wasnt fapping off as much as he usually does when he thinks someone is going to get sent off... not too that sure the United players thought it was going to be a red.
