He's hardly set the world alight but then none of the players have really performed for Houllier. I think there is a strong case for Houllier hounding him out of the club. He apologises for criticising the player in the press ... and then criticises him again.

Ireland's hardly played in his best position 'in the hole' and keeps getting played as a central midfielder, which he has neither the work-rate or the tackling ability to make a success of.

Its not the end of the world Ireland being on his way but I'd much rather give Houllier his P45.

Yet another game has been called off with it just being announced that Chelsea vs Manchester United has been postponed. Whilst the pitch will be ok, there are fears for support safety around the ground.

In other news, all shops, pubs and restaurants have closed for fear of customer safety. Oh no wait, if you want to do your Christmas shopping, go for a pint or eat out, you are trusted to make your own decision over whether it’s safe or not. If you’re a football fan, the decision is made for you.
