You are not as blinkered as most, he had a real rough spot though but I suppose class always shines through in the end.

didnt he do amazing for brazil in the olympics or u21's before united bought him? ( i thought it was the reason they bought him)

i also remember seeing him mentioned when he was 17/18 as being one of the best brazilian prospects for years and years

he maybe just needs to score more goals for people to notice him

I don't even want him to be a missive goalscorer. If he can be taken under scholes's wing and become that type of player I will jizz my pants. I think Anderson is already a better in the defensive side of his game so if he can learn to read the game and pass like scholsey he will be immense. IMO.

I've always thought he was good. He came with a lot of hype - potential to be one of the best players ever, more potential than Ronaldo etc. He had a hard time with that I think. His first two season he was forced to learn the defensive side of the game - for a player used to playing in the hole off the striker, that is hard.

People forget his age, I am pleased with his development, in a year he's going to be a shoe in for the first 11.

Those are two exeptional players who would succeed in any era. The potential Anderson was touted with was the become a top class ball running midfielder, no one ever said he was going to be a Zidane but he does have to potential to be one of top 5 midfielders in the world at this current time.

If you think otherwise then you haven't seen enough of the guy when he is playing with form, at times his attacking runs can devastate sides.

I just think that people expected him to be all out offensive. What he showed for Porto/the brazillian youth teams, is totally different from what he does now.
