Yep.. Arsenal didn't turn up. Couldn't believe how often they gave the ball away.

Nice to see United stick to the plan, defend tight and hit them when they surrender possession (which they did alot) from over passing. 3 points in the bag, now for the real test.

Dreadful game tbh, although similar to a lot of games from United this season. They took their chance when it came, and managed to hold out - both teams were INCREDIBLY sloppy, I don't think I've seen so many misplaced passes from two top sides before. Arsenal looked toothless up front, I think VDS had one save to make which he very nearly spooned into the path of Chamakh, at this rate United are going to win the league without ever having to play well.

Howard Webb was a joke, I can only presume that whilst learning the rules of the game he was in the middle of a Bruce Lee marathon - Rio's Kung Fu challenge was farcical, and the linesman didn't help with the penalty decision

Man Utd centre-backs always kung-fu kick the torso, they're allowed!

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on his side's display: "The technical quality of the game suffered from a very bad pitch and that's why we've seen both sides make bad technical mistakes. I don't think we failed to deliver, you have to give credit to United's defensive quality. We still had a few chances and I thought we were unlucky to lose."

Excuses, excuses...when will there be some trophies instead Arsene?

That's 1 in Tyneside and 1 in Wearside. If you ever went to the north east and said that you would be lynched.

And if you ever classed Wolverhampton and West Brom as part of Birmingham you would be also.

isnt that where the "big" cities are though? (London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle etc?)

so it makes more sense for these teams to be in the prem than "arse end of nowhere FC" as they are likely to have bigger fan bases? (and have likely had bigger fan bases for a longer time too!)

the last message of this thread will be from me:

Wonderfull goal from Messi.

An extraordinary win from Barca in the Champions League Final.

The final score (8-0) vs Chealsea, Real Madrid or Man Unt. says it all.

:p
