except lucas

1 good game doesnt make up for 3 shit years

burn him at the stake xD

Hope you are joking, he has been pretty good in quite a few games over the years but is not very consistent.. but that seems to be changing :D

Lucas has dominated Man Utd's Midfield in about 2-3 games so far :D

Who, of any calibre, would choose Liverpool over United, Chelsea, Arsenal or City?

No disrespect meant, genuine question.

Someone who wants first team football :p (specially if the player is a winger ;))

Lucas is pure class, he has massive potential. I don't know why people have such lucas hate. He's a young lad at the end of the day, he's ofc shit when you compare him to gerrard/alonso but most ppl are. Give him chance to mature an he'll be quality.

Lucas is 3rd rate. You simply have to match him up against Essien as that is what he is competing with. Until Lucas starts to dominate games on his own and drive the team on while contributing with Goals and assists.

He's simply another player whos job it is is to mess up the opponents attacks.

LOL you can't compare a youngster like lucas to a seasoned experienced player like Essien/gerrard etc. Like comparing Bendtner to Drogba, no comparison.

Well, he was playing in a much more attacking role at his previous club and coming to the best league in the world and playing in a totally different role at the age of 20-21 is of course very hard.. I really rate him but he would be far better if Benitez left him playing in the same role he played for Gremio..

he'd be far better at Arsenal xD We'll take Reina and gerrard too whilst we're at it, we'll give you a cheeky fiver as compensation.

from wiki.

Mikel scored his first goal for Chelsea in their 6–1 FA Cup victory over Macclesfield Town on January 6, 2007. He also scored against Nottingham Forest in the following round of the competition.

so he has scored at least 2 goals :p

It's fun to hate on Lucas and Ngog because Liverpool rely on them so much. They are young and they have lots of potential, but they are being expected to play in a team that needs years more experience than they have.

I could quite easily see either Lucas or Ngog at United or Arsenal, where they would be given a much better shot at fufilling their potential.

Funny but i am pretty sure we finished in 3rd place in 2005 and i am pretty sure we hammered Chelsea and Juve on the way to the final of the CL. Oh and just incase you forgot Chelsea won the PL that year and considering we finished 1 point behind ManU in the league i am wondering what you consider a good season.

But then people have such short memories and i shouldnt be surprised to hear comments from a person that thinks RM are in the PL.

Well If we are going to talk about people getting things wrong, you came 5th that year, not 3rd. Get your facts right. You also seem to be forgetting that but for a last gasp goal by Gerrard in the group stages you were almost knocked out then.

As for the Kings of Europe thing. You know what though if you really want the title "Kings of Europe but only in the english preier league and even then only once in 22 years" Go ahead and take it.

I heard it was something about them refusing to let him carry on judging on Master Chef?

scroll up, had already commented on this fact xD

they were shit that season, they failed to actually qualify for champs league. They only got in because they QQ'd to UEFA that they wouldn't be able to defend their crown. You came fifth, behind Everton for gods sake, how is that a good season in the league? xD

tierks gone all quiet....... :)

Typical scouser, he's got an interesting grasp on the facts. Reminds me of that old Spanish saying: "If there is brown liquid in the bottle, it must be bullshit."

Don't know why the kings of europe thing got me so rilled up :p I guess it's because I have a couple of mates who talk about liverpool as if they are the best and only club in the world and I cant tell if they are completly serious or half just winding me up at any given time.much like Marc about Barca :p

Mikel had 2 shots on target yesterday! Even made a run foward once, he would never have done that 2 years ago :p

Bit confused about the Ray Wilkins thing, some rumours going around that he done something real bad last night but i'm not so sure. Don't know what he actually does as a coach but hopefully it doesnt have any negative impact.

Hopefully he'll get replaced by Steve Clarke or Zola or Maldini xD

I was thinking the same aoln, he must have had a serious falling out with Carlo or the board. He's been the one constant you've had over the last 3 managers, and he's clearly done a good job.

Been out on site all afternoon and only just got back to house so dont cum in yer pants thinking you got one over me you GIMP!! :D

I will take 1 win in 22 years in CL considering only four teams have managed it in all the time the competition has been running.

I also refuse to accept that Liverpool had a shit season, it was just a little off our normal top four finish :p

I also accept that i got it wrong yes we finished 5th the season we won it. However, anyone that can honestly, until last season, say that we were not a top 4 team pretty much consistently for the last fook knows how long, can suck my ball sack.

The comment that everyone says we are shit doesnt mean shit considering it comes from everyone who is a non-Liverpool fan and its expected. We are certainly not shit and our trophy cabinet is not exactly empty over the last ten years, unlike many of the people posting on here's teams.

I also refuse to accept any stick from knobs that are living in England and dont support a team in England.

Also regarding RM and Kings of Europe, if we remove the 1st five times they won it playing against plumbers and gardeners they are down to 4 wins. In all honesty when you talk about Kings of Europe there is only 1 King and that is AC Milan. 7 wins out of 11 and the majority of those after the time of dinosaurs.

Personally i like to watch good football, exciting football. I dont switch the television on to watch a bunch of puffs rolling around on the floor passing the ball 300 times across the back four (Spanish and Italians)

Goals Goals and more goals, entertainment.

For the last ten years only two teams have given that consistently ManU and Arsenal with Liverpool trying to be and sometimes succeeding (ala Istanbul) but mostly failing. Newcastle were good years ago (Keegan) certainly entertaining.

Everyone else.....yawn.

Oh and Brown bottle in yer arse!!!!! :p

I'm just still bitter about Istanbul because I still have nightmares about the way my Pool supporting mates went on about it :p

Honestly tell me that night was not one of the best nights of football you have seen?

To quote one of my favourite movies...

Are you not entertained? Sound Clip and Quote

"Are you not entertained! Are you not entertained! Is this not why you are here"

Irratating Liverpool fan's aside.

How many times have you watched a 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 goal thriller against top opposition over the years with Liverpool either dishing it out or receiving it?

You get me?

I suppose but Hodgson has done an ok job so far and sacking him and getting someone new in is NOT the solution, that would just cause further turmoil..

Lets see what he can do with 40-50m this January/Summer :flame:

I would rather save the 40-50m and start working on a long term replacement for Roy to come in at the end of the season.

If we lose players in the mean time so be it.

No player is bigger than the club and i ahve no issues with selling any player, Gerrard included if they do not want to be there for whatever reason.

Ok ok yes i would be seriously miffed if we lost SG.

Just to have it cleared:

when does a CL trophy stop counting?

after 50 years?

Will we say in the year 2017 that the first Milan AC trophy doesnt count cuz its from the age of dinosaurs?
