don't forget you lost the mighty benayoun who has better stats than joe cole xD

oh ye :< i really liked beni, i hated the fact rafa wouldn't play him ever other than as a last resort or a sub

imo in liverpools current midfeild he should have been starting every week no doubt

tho i do prefer joe cole

and basicly we got joe cole + probly 5 mill, good deal really

Its not bad if the money goes into your transfer budget, though I am not sure that will happen atm.

You may loose Mach, but he clearly wants to leave. You should get at least £25million for him, if not more. Torres will stay.

well

torres hasnt commited yet

mascherano wants out

aparently kuyt also following him to inter

agger on the move

maxi wants to leave

insua degen and aurelio already gone

and we've only brought it some random serbian striker, wilson (who is a scottish CB and probly shit by default) and super joe......

and are courting a player who can't even get into the villa side.....

bad times

Hodgson has been interviewed saying that Torres has spoken to him and is looknig forawrd to returning to Liverpool on Monday to train.

I think Torres is one of those loyal players who won't just turn and run!

Does not look like the new rules are going to impact us too much at all we could fit another 6 foreign old players in without a problem lol.

Arsenal's current first-team squad contains 26 players, of which 13 are counted as home grown, and seven are Under-21s.

The breakdown is as follows.

1 Manuel Almunia (May 19, 1977)
2 Abou Diaby (May 11, 1986)
3 Bacary Sagna (February 14, 1983)
4 Cesc Fabregas (May 4, 1987)
5 Thomas Vermaelen (November 14, 1985)
6 Laurent Koscielny
7 Tomas Rosicky (October 4, 1980)
8 Samir Nasri (June 26, 1987)
11 Robin van Persie (August 6, 1983)
12 Carlos Vela (March 1, 1989)*
14 Theo Walcott (March 16, 1989)*
15 Denilson (February 16, 1988)
16 Aaron Ramsey (December 26, 1990)*
17 Alex Song (September 9, 1987)
19 Jack Wilshere (January 1, 1992)*
20 Johan Djourou (January 18, 1987)

21 Lukasz Fabianski (April 18, 1985)
22 Gael Clichy (July 26, 1985)
23 Andrey Arshavin (May 29, 1981)
24 Vito Mannone (March 2, 1988)
27 Emmanuel Eboue (June 4, 1983)
28 Kieran Gibbs (September 26, 1989)*
29 Marouane Chamakh (January 10, 1984)
30 Armand Traore (October 8, 1989)*
52 Nicklas Bendtner (January 16, 1988)
53 Wojciech Szczesny (April 18, 1990)*

Players in BOLD = home grown
* = Under-21 for season 2010/11

Some nice stuff by our youngsters against the MLS All Stars, beat them 5-2 and scored some cracking goals. Macheda and Cleverly were very impressive, Gibbo placed a lovely freekick in the top left corner and Hernandez scored a beaut as well. Promising times with regards to youth and it looks like we will be needing them as we ain't going to be signing anyone really established.

i watched some of it and couldnt understand the point of an "all-star" team, they obviously had no teamwork at all. some of them had played 90 minutes the day befor aswell which i thought was insane.

some nice goals tho :p

Brasilian player from Benfica? If yes, he's a great player still young. Runs 90 min can score and very good positionning. But he will not leave...i hope: he is essential to Benfica and will compromize our chances in renewing the title.

Been linked with Chelsea a lot. Was quoted today saying he'd love to come and it sounded like it was happening, then Benfica said the quotes were fake, so i don't know. Sounds like he's mostly owned by agents anyway. Thanks for the summary though, just what i wanted.

Looks like Everton might be on the verge of signing Landon Donovan. Pretty freakin awesome if its true, but im not sure exactly where the cash is gonna come from for him.

But he has made it clear on many occasions he definately wants to come back.

where did you read that? Galaxy made it very clear, and Donovan said himself earlier this month that he did not want to leave and they would not sell him no matter the price.

Lots of speculation in that article. We'll see, the guy is a hero in the states, would be hard for him to give it up. The words he uses are quite ambiguous too, he's hardly committing to a move.

If they sign Jesus Christ they might just actually win the league. :(

Nah, he'll play a few minutes and be revealed for the scam artist he is. Just like when some dodgy African agent tried to pimp George Weah's "cousin" to West Ham I believe it was.

Suppose so, they did try to tell us that Freddy Adu was the second coming as well.
