By the letter of FIFA's poor laws we have done nothing wrong, whether we are morally correct is another matter. You have to feel for clubs who spend time and resources developing talent only for situations like this to occur.

I agree that morally it may be wrong to do this, however it actually not caused by FIFA and rather is caused by the employment laws in each country. We can offer them contracts in the UK at 16 yet in most of Europe they are unable to and as such we can "poach" players whereas the reverse is not possible.

Thinking about the Chelsea punishment. Im actually wondering if they took past action into account as well, as there was the whole Mikel saga where Chelsea ended up having to pay compensation due to breached contracts etc.

Well that is not a surprise, considering that paperwork had been lodged to exempt him due to medication that he was required to take (but it was sent incomplete and a test was done in the meantime)

Just a quick read says that if he hadnt taken the medication there could have been sever (or lethal) complications if he hadnt taken the medication and as they had sought the exemption and if the statement as to the urgency to take the medication was correct I can not see how action can be taken against him.

Definately something to follow though as this could get interesting

Im just saying that it not a surprise not that you said he is guilty... just saying he tested positive without anything else could lead people to jump to assuming there no reason to it.

And what I posted was what is said on the club website (more or less) anything else is merely rumour that needs to be proven, whereas the club said "this is the case and we will prove it" in regards to their comments

Get too bored with the way chelsea play most the time but seen him enough.... his defensive side the game still lacks in too many areas. His positioning is often poor and he more often then not needs to rely on his pace to recover.

But as you think he done nothing worth mentioning on the goal I can see why you think he the best in the world
