Not the best penalty in the world, should have given it to Carew after all. Nice assist from Sidwell though, because I'm sure he intentionally hit the post, being such a nice guy and all.

gonna be interesting, the one thing we've normally struggled with is actually fecking scoring goals. Oh ye that, and the fact our defence goes walkabout every so often.

hehe funny watching charlton vs northwich on ITV, just like southend poor team, poor football. But the 30 or so lads with drum dont care just trying to make as much noise as possible.

This is what non-league football is all about! Northwich's ground is classic it has 2 stands, behind the one goal is a salt factory and the other is a car park. Brave souls are standing behind the goals with no elevation above the pitch, and if it starts raining they'll get soaked

Hull v Stoke is quite good, hull cannot break down stoke and have gone behind to a counter-attack already.

Brown has been good for hull, and their fans seem to realise it. Another coach is not going to change things, and as turamber has pointed out, they try and play football most of the time. Brown is young and will get better over time, but he'll need the chance to improve. I don't think he will get sacked before xmas, despite what the papers think and say.

So basically you hate managers that beat Arsenal by playing rough? Awww didumms.

No i did not hate him when they beat us. I have hated him since he flat out lied about Cesc spitting on someone. He lied and hurt our reputation as well as Cescs so since then i have hated the prick.

And FYI i like Hull and hop they get a new manager that will turn it around I said i hate Brown not Hull.

I never intimated that you dislike hull, and cesc is a dirty greasy bastard, so Brown was right to lie about him :D

EDIT: Northwich are 80 + league places below charlton in Conference South.

i think this game has chelsea win written all over it, be a very very tough game for united and i fear the result is out of reach.

Defense is weakened badly with only really having 1 first choice in their best position. So with Drogba and Anelka it is going to be a really really tough battle.

The key thing will be that midfield battle. With Anderson and Fletcher together I hope that they can control that fight and take some of the pressure of the defense, though fletcher no doubt needing painkillers due to the op he needs on his ankle but leaving till season end.

Luckily this isnt a must win game at the moment, 5 points is a decent lead but we have made that up before. Take the win and that be great, but I settle for a draw given the team situation.

I think both teams would settle for a draw. The way Fergie has filled out the midfield shows that but obviously you can't blame him when the defense has been chopped and changed so many times this season.

Any idea why Berb's not even on the bench today?

As an Arsenal fan a draw would be lovely thank you. A few red cards resulting in 10 match bans would also be welcome :)

Why no poppys on your shirts Mancs you not doing that charity thing this weekend?

Fergi's view is "we never done it in the past, so we wont be doing it now".

That said Fergi shows his respect in other ways, for instance instead of pre-match planning he went and spoke with those from the services that were at teh ground etc... and you probably find fergi/utd give personal donations also.

No doubt people around the country will slag them off for it (expect the media too, lol). But hey need to give them something to bitch about.

As for the match... Been a disciplined performance, but carrick cant hit the barn door at the moment.
Probably should have had a penalty, they given often, with Terry falling over and pulling the attacker down with him. But you rarely get them unless you are the home team.

Man Utd doing well in defending which is shown by Anelka coming back to about 40yrds+ out in order to try get the ball. Chelsea come closest to scoring but be the second half that is telling. Who will lose discipline/find the magic touch

I really do not believe we still have not scored, we are by far the better team, some poor shooting and decision making, although rooney is looking more and more dangerous with each attack.

Im kinda worried at the fact we not sored because chelsea got a chance of the late goal.. and the ref beginning to lose control of this game i feel.

If chelsea score from this freekick the ref need......

oh ffs as i type it they score from it when fletcher made a perfect tackle

Luck was on chelskis side today, really poor decision leading to and with the goal itself.

We played better for the most part, and I did not see the mighty unstoppable chelsea everyone keeps going on about. We are really unlucky to not even get a point from this.

Well we played real bad with what seemed like a lack of interest, but if you still win playing like that then well that is always important.....not as if it is something Man U haven't done before either.

Yeah 3 points is 3 points, and if it was the other way I would not be moaning. seemed a shame that such a well spirited game turned so angry after 75 minutes though.

blame fletcher for that, how he avoids cards so often is a mystery to me
