A bit yeah, but Chetans a right dick sometimes. It was a joke about the euro refs. At least the likes of you, vlad and corran can see the whole messi thing is just a joke and dont take me too seriously. Chetan is like f5ing all the time waiting for me to post something.

Oh right, never realised. For his goals he often came in from the left i thought.

Who will play CB? Milito and Marquez? That new guy seems like a rather big flop.

Look on the brightside, Pique and Poyul will be rested for Madrid :p

Tbh for last 3 seasons of CL Barce havent really been that impressive,. lost to united then last year SHOULD have lost to chelsea and this year matched by arsenal. This isnt to say they bad, more like they just on par with the PL big four.

They were matched by Arsenal in score only. Overall it was completey one sided.

How come sometimes posting in this thread takes 30seconds and sometimes it's instant?

Tbh you just have to take the rough with the smooth in these threads, it's no different to being down the pub and giving it large when you beat your mates team but end up taking it up the arse the week after when you get shafted by your other mates team.

Would you punch your mate in the face if he laughed at your team losing? ;)

I have a feeling it will be the new guy whos name I cant spell and Milito. I think we would have used Abidal but hes injured. Pique has been first class this season. Not suited to the premier league but certainly up there with the best in La Liga and will be a huge miss.

Not really, taking the piss is fine, but Chetan gets too personal with the insults. No need to be a keyboard warrior is there :D

He must start with Walcott at the nou Camp surely?

They need to push Barca onto the back foot, like arsenal were tonight for the first 20 mins. Alves is great coming forward, but shit at defending, a very English wide defender really, and Walcott seemed to have the beating of the guy wide left for Barca.

If they go out at the nou camp with the same kind of cagey start they had tonight, theyll get slaughtered.

How lucky do the arsenal fans feel that Zlatan turned them down :D

You could have Eto'o + 30m worth of players instead of him. Would have possibly been over before half time too :d

Not to mention a shocking pen decision. Typical of euro refs, always favouring the english teams

Not sure if all that is a joke, or just the end. So wont discuss it :)

Messi has indeed been amazing in that central role recently but he hasnt been up against people of the Arsenal standard. Even playing sub par, arsenal kept him pretty quiet. Couple glimpses in the first 5 minutes but other then that he was pretty well controlled.

Personally I think against a team like Arsenal he should focus more out wide. Give him the free role so as not to lock him down to the position (ie so as not to make him track back), however by playing from a wider position they either got to move their defensive midfielder out with him, thus leaving the space for Xavi to exploit, or they got to risk the fullback being double up'd on with the extra man being Messi which is a scary thought.

holy shit. Chelsea look like they got the title in the bag now.

Less games (possibly)

And key playmakers/scorers not out injuried (you got mainly defensive issues iirc? Rather the defensive issues man utd had earlier in the season then rooney/fabragas and equivalents being injuried as they are game winners)

//
Definately is chelsea's to lose.. but then it was theirs to lose a few weeks back and they failed to hold the top spot.
Still think it looking like chelsea gonna take the league if Rooney is 3weeks out. If they beat utd on saturday i think thats the title going to stamford bridge.

Just hope Berbatov can step up to the challenge. And hope fergi picks the right team for the weekend match. I know the rough team i would go for but not sure what he will do after yesterdays substitutions

edit:
switched to SSN just in time.
Seems fabby believes he may have broken his leg when puyol trapped it there.
Is possible he got a slight crack and kicking the ball at the force he did just split it more.
Done that with my arm when i was a kid, apparently broke it, but didnt know till 3weeks later when I hit another kid after he started on me.

Well some places are reporting Drogba also has a knock, nothing comfirmed.

I don't see how it is ours to lose considering you are in the lead, we have to play you at OT and we have more injuries.

We have the lead, but all in all I actually think you are better equipped to deal with the injuries and get the win at the weekend.

In many ways I would take a draw against Chelsea and hope we dont drop points anywhere else.

I am just not sure about Berbatov playing up top on his own against a top team. He can do some marvelous things but he so inconsistant you cant really rely on him.
I'm still a bit mythed that we spent so much on him tbh, but maybe he will prove me wrong. I hope so :)

I noticed Vermalen (sp) charging out from his centre back position to meet messi deepish on a few occasions. I wonder if Wenger didnt trust song with marshalling Messi.

I agree with you on the right wing. How much space did Pedro and Alves get on numerous occasions? However, im wondering if Peps gameplan wasnt to unleash Messi. I say this because in the first half, Messi got the ball on 2 occasions, with only a couple of defenders near him with space to run at and he never, he just held the ball up and sprayed it wide? Sounds daft though doesnt it. Or maybe he just gave Arsenal the respect they deserved and knew he was up against proper defenders and didnt want to concede possession? After all, our game is built upon possession.

And yes, the ref was of course a joke :p

Because he looked the biz at Spurs. He looked exactly like the player SAF wanted to lead his line and thats how much spurs wanted to part with him. You can never guarantee, that players will perform for your club as they do for others. The only ones who can guarantee it are your world class players like Rooney, Messi, Ronaldo etc

awww diddums? Honestly if you want to bring the messi love in, then don't expect all round support. You think it's funny to post about him all the time, I think it's funny to have a go at it. When did this thread turn into a place full of crying women?

Meh, Drogba won't be out. But I'm sure Ancelotti wouldn't mind it being leaked that he will be.

Will be interesting at OT, the rest of our squad will really have to prove they do not rely on Rooney. Glad giggs is back, and Berbatov seems to have found some consistency at long last. Think Evra / Valencia / Nani will have a big role to play, you are screwed on both flanks for speed and that is something we need to exploit.

As I said last night, ribbing is fine. I dont see why you have to be such a cock at times and make things personal thats all. Its all just a joke about the messi thing and everyone else bar you seems to take it in good spirits.

He looked amazing leading an average side. Now he is a talented player in a good side. No big issue, I don't think Fergie bought him to lead the line anyway. I'm one of the few united fans (seemingly) that thinks Berba has been good for us. Always involved in attacking moves, creates a lot of space, holds the ball up and sees passes and moves very few players can.

But then thats how dori talks about Carrick..... sooo...

I'm taking it in perfectly good spirits, you are the one throwing your dummy out of the pram. I'll add smileys to the end of all my posts so you know it's a joke shall I?

SAF stated he bought him as a target man to lead the line. Why else would you buy him? Hes not an out an out goal scorer and gives you different options. Thats the reason we got rid of Eto. We felt we were too reliant on him and if he got injured where would the goals come from. However, im still not convinced Zlatan is the man for the job in the same vein I dont think Berba is for united, but that said, who else is there that can do the job?

I think Zlatan would be quite suited to the premier league, he could actually use his size and power to more effect.

I see Kiko is back for United. Time for another cameo to break Chelsea's hearts?
