Heh, clearly without trying to divert attention from this thread as a THANE whine, I can simply say that the sufferings of poor Thanes are quite lightweight compared to the plight of skalds. At least anyone with half a functioning brain could see that your class was pointless from the beginning.

back in release SKalds were one of the best classes in DAoC, there was no suckering at all.

Oldskool Skalds picked a great class.

Unfortunately same as Thanes, the Game evolvedloads but both Skalds and Thanes were left in stasis, we are effectively cavemen running round in a modern day metropolis swinging our clubs and trying to take out them uber Navy Seals and Green Beret's

Same as wardens now they struggle for groups cos other classes do better. Too many toons in daoc now anyway.

I love playing my thane 2, but u have to agree with that its one of the most unwanted classes in rvr in the 3 realms.
The very WEAK improvements in SC will help nothing at all.

True, but any improvement is better than none.

I'd like to be able to 1 on 1 a Pally 50 % of the time for example ( I assume as the 2nd Shield spec classes of both realms we should be on a similar standing? - Group wise and solo) however it's not the way it works. If all 3 realms had classes with exactly the same power/abilitys then imo we may aswell have 1 realm or play on a pvp EQ server. I like variation.

Besdies, I like playing one of underpowerd/wanted classes. It makes success all the much better.

i like my necro in RvR 2, even though most ppl see them as gimps in RvR, theyr just hard to play and have loads of bugs..

im the 17th highest RR necro on prydwen atm reaching for higher (yes, this is braging)

tbh that doesnt make them good having a little bit of everything, as a warrior you have strong melee, as a caster you have strong magic, the difference however, is that a thane cant use both of his abilities at the same time, which means crappy damage, and they use the rogue damage table for melee...

i dont play a thane but ive seen enough to know how gimped they are...
