.... and ruined all the fun sitting it out in the TK untill mids and/or hibs finally got bored and attacked a well defended keep, then ran home with the deamon.... yea, everyone, even the pryd players, really had a great time....... for the first 15 mins.

A shame it had to be like this, and even Zargar agreed more or less... as he replied to my suggestions, it was too hard to enter the keep as it was then.

Funny how the prydwen players had the same image on alb in general as we excal players do.

edit: as some1 in our group said: "give PvP server"

Well not really IMHO.

All the test really showed was that whoever held the fort won.

It would have been nice if the demon refused to spawn unless all invaders were inside their own PK. This would have seen a mad rush to get to the PK, lots more 3 way battles etc.

What really spoiled it for me was the complete lock-ups I suffered everytime I ported, forcing a soft reset of my PC, scandisk etc.

i totally agree cjkace to improve an event like that..spawning of demon only if players are in pk would help, also the removal of the doors at keep would have diminished the factor of being inside the keep. And novamir your comment must surely be a joke since we held keep for most of the time and were outnumbered in keep there because we had a group outside running with demon etc, then i really dont see how on earth we could zerg anyone. The only thing that piss you off is that we obviously quicker than you managed to find out what needed to be done to gain an advantage and that was to choose your fight inside the keep, we did that....and that is surely no zerg.

well i had fun with my new minstrall and friar running around emain, till the mids brought mains and slaughtered us.
was funny as hell when exiled brought his fire wizzie and started aoeing the mids and chased them all the way back to their tk.

yea the keep was there and I dont blaim ya for holding it, but please... we tried a rush 3 times from mid side, I donno what hibs tried..

Then we decided that with all the casters and nice teamwork u put up, it was just not possible. So we decided to camp the water near alb bridge some, hoping out would try to move home with the deamon when there werent any sight of enemies..
We sat there idling in the water for some 10 mins.. Then hibs started to try entering the keep, and after 5 mins more we moved up to get some action, how sucky it might get, atleast something would happen..
And you waited for both hibs and mids to get wiped trying to get inside, and then ran home with deamon....

We middies got inside at an early state of the game, and we didnt camp the damn keep, we went out and everyone followed the deamon home instead.

Now, if u want to camp it to be tactically, you still need an excuse for sitting there for 10 mins with no action at all... Scared of a fair fight? :sleeping:

Yeah us albs only zerged as we obviously had a lot more players, and did we forget to mention that zargar gave us a special special special trainer who trained us up to level 25 because we fight for albion!

We beat you fair and square!

when all you mids ran out of the keep with demon i was shocked ..

that was the mistake that cost you the victory... and why should we make the same mistake as you did ?

while standing in the keep, i kept wondering why the hib or mids (or maybe even together?) never tried a full blown charge with all players. this for sure would have made if very hard for us defenders. we really had our hands full with the sparse enemy coming through the gates. Power consumption (you use up your power real quick at 24) and the 1 min mezz timer would have been in your advantage.
instead you guys made the choise to linger around the entrance with the ocassional little charge.
many a times i saw a full complement of about 25-30 enemies advancing to the doors only to stop and backoff as soon as 1 aoe from a wizzie went off.

But it sure was fun, albs got in early and defended well, and us hibbies had a small problem organizing ourselves in the beginning due to some massive ld probs. Tried charging in got mezzed and killed over and over again until we decided to ambush and managed to bring one back. Only afraid that albs will win it too easy with their massive zerg if/when it goes live

You can't really complain about zerging or any other unfairness since both sides had exactly the same number of people and exactly the same levels. You got beaten fair and square and if that irks you then tell it to someone who cares. It was a test that has shown holding the keep is too big an advantage. Sorry if you didn't realise that early enough but such is life.

Perhaps NP shouldn't have been so quick to tell us Albion were going to get owned the night before That sort of thing always comes back to haunt you.

After a couple of hickups to try and get the alliance sorted and various ld problems we managed get the upperhand pretty soon.

We were also promised that the keep doors would be removed and apparantly they were trying to do this during the event as at a certain point nobody could open them and we were all stuck in the keep. I believe if the doors were open at all times it would've been a lot easier for our opponents to attempt a retake while our demon runners were out of the keep.

All in all it was good to be on the side with some decent mezzers for a change Just goes to show how much alb/excal are in need of sorcerers in rvr.

Albs decided to ruin the fun, as albs do 90% of the time in rvr in this game. Most of the mids just wanted to remove the albs and let it be a 2way fight, mid/hib

And I repeat, its funny how the pry/mid had the same image on alb as most exc/mid does.

Something to think about, but then again, I guess ur lack of intelligence makes it hard... I guess u had fun sitting inside the keep for 15 mins just tumbling thumbs.

call it what ever u want, there wasnt anything at stake, no money prices no nothing, it was a test for an event, everyone started this coz they figured it would be fun, and so it was untill albs arrived. as always.

well we would without doubt have defended an attack like you, but I would ask someone to kill me if I would be part of making an event boring just because we were so focussed on winning...

I requested that zargar would remove the doors as he suggested himself, but that wouldnt be possible during the test.

I think that would help, would make mezz/attack timing easier.

U fought nicely, but please.................... 15 mins no action and no attempt to move the deamon, C'MON!!!


and no it doesnt bother me that we got owned, it bothers me that we wasted time :|

we missed tons of fun fights in odins on excal, but we did pick up on some afterwards.

Get your facts straight. Obviously lack of initial communication was another problem with mid, as you didn't even know where your 'brothers' were. Half of the mid force was running with the demon whereas the other half was trying to control the keep. We all just rushed the keep and took control just like you were trying to do. Being a middie doesn't make you an example of fairness and perfect play you would've done exactly the same if you were in the position to do so, so don't go acting all high and mighty.

We just rocked your world like you so said you were going to do to us the day before the event
