Started playing this yesterday, its stunning, simply stunning.

My only issue with it is that i can't max the graphics settings on my current setup. Kinda dissapointing, instead i get "Ultra high quality" but no AA.

Playing it at 1280 x 1024 at ultra high quality with very little slowdown, even in the outdoor areas.

Wondering how it will run on my PC...

I've got a p4 2.8ghz with 1gb of DDR RAM, and a radeon 9600.

I guess if I have to I'll play with the settings turned down though - I cant afford to upgrade the PC at the moment :(

I've seen some people saying it runs well on slower machines.....but i'd take that with a pinch of salt :p

I'm actually downloading it from direct2drive atm......could'nt be bothered to wait for tomorrow. ;)

got mine today also, impressed even though I'm not able to run mine on full gfx settings, they aint far off though, I expected much worse.

Love the sword fighting, the archery in that game is good fun also :)

Seems to be very very high in content... So far I've been exploring around the starting area, been through 3-4 dungeons so far and each of them have been suitably varied and enjoyable :)

Great game!

Think it would run ok and look decent on a radeon9800pro 128meg, p4 2.8ghz, 1 gig ram on 1280x1024 ? - have to play it at that resolution since its my tft monitors native resolution, anything else looks weird.

Not sure, I've got a Amd64 3000+ with 1GB ram and Radeon 9800Pro and I play it at 1024x768 with medium settings...It's playable, but the framerate drops to about 15-20fps often in crowded areas...But other than that I'm averaging around 30-35fps which is more than enough for this game :)

btw someone asked if it would work with a Ti 4400, the Geforce 4 series are not supported because they have an older version pixel shader (if I'm not wrong) so the game simply won't startup, same with battlefield 2.

I got the exact same setup, give or take some differences in ram perhaps and some overclocking, and it runs fine here. Ofc, its not possible to max everything out. But you'll definitely get a very good gaming experience :D

1280 x 1024, ultra high quality detail
full draw distance, full tree distance, full building distance and with full shadows on, even tree canopy shadows. Full HDR aswell, Never drops below 20fps outside, and never below ~50 inside.

I had to restart last night though :(

For oblivion i effectively paid ~34 pence, or so. Not a lot really :p I'd rather pay that and get it a day ahead of most other people.

You are. Downloading games is stupid because it ruins the chance for the company to create an even better game the next time.
I was in the warez business as a courier for several years, so I'm not exactly so clean myself, but now I know better.
Like Raven said, its well worth the cash to support a good company who creates great games.

went custom, acrobatics, marksman, blade, light armour, cant remember the rest. just robbed a sleaping soldier of a few items, noticed that they had the red hand on them (stolen) so wondered if i killed him and then took the items, would they be mine? so i did, and they were :)

I made a Scout but customised it a bit.

Acrobatics
Armourer
Blade
Block
Marksmanship
Sneak
Security

Really enjoying it.

I've been trying to find the best hand to hand blade weapons, seems to me that the 2hand weapons are the better choice at lower level - you still seem to take damage when you block at apprentice level, and the shield slows you're attack speed, so I've been going without one lately, even when I've been using a 1hand weapon.

Loving the game so far, everything just really good. The quests are interesting, the places all look really good, so far I've played something like 15ish hours, but its clear that I've hardly even scratched the surface of this game.

Sorry to say it vlad but I'd rather pay for a decent game anyday, even though I'm practically broke atm I still think its worth buying a game you want when compared to these p2p networks. Like raven and davidH said the reason is to support the companies who actaully make the decent games, if everyone did what you did then alot of the games company would go out of business and we'd be left with tripe that EA and co reguarly dish out.

Go into the inventory, hold any number key from 1 to 8 and a small dial will appear, while holding the number key, click on a spell or a weapon. This will assign it to a hotkey for quick changing :)

I've been using it for weapons too - 1 for 1h weapon 2 for bow and 3 for 2h weapon, with my spells taking up 4 to 8.
