Does the incorrect spelling of 'mallard' have anything to do with it or did you just screw up?

I fail to understand what we are supposed to be discussing! Mallards are the males in certain species of wild ducks, ducks are a species of bird. So, no, ducks aren't malards, they are birds.

Although 'duck' is also the term given to female ducks. Is that what you are trying to get at?

I think that's where he's going with this. 'Bird' being a typically juvenile way to say woman... still, the answer would be the same... only for a different reason.
