Hmmmmm I really like that, unusual idea for a tattoo but its very well done, I am impressed.

Who is the tattooist?

He/she is clearly very good.

He's called Alex Wright. I specifically chose him due to him being a realism tattoist, only does portraits and faces etc etc etc. He's great man, one of the lads aswell so we can have a laugh whilest he endures the pain on me.

If you search True Colours on facey/google you'll find some pictures of his work :)

I searched him and out of all his work the Japanese stuff (I am a Jap fan) is the best and also your ink. He has sold himself short with his Myspace pics, tell him to get yours on there.

Yeah i'll tell him on Monday mate.

It's currently healing on the soft bit, the other side of my elbow. It's absolutly kiiiiilling!

Not looking forward to him tattoing upto the scab, not on it, just around the edges. It hurts so bad.

None of it compares to the wrist though, man that shit was a blur to me. I nearly passed out

Laddey has changed, and if I can say that, after some of the things I've said to him, then it must be true!

Trust me on this advice -

Bepanthen + cling film around the sore areas will make you a happy chap. Bepanthen is godlike for new tattoo's.

Yep, applying it 4 times a day and keeping it wrapped in cling film 3 hours a day to keep the scabbing down to little as possible.

It feels so good when the fresh tat is burning and you put bepanthem on. The cooling of the area is borderline orgasmic.

Good man.

If your artist has told you to use Bepanthen then he knows his shit, sooooo many say to use Savlon and that is too harsh for new ink.

How fucking annoying is it having it in cling film though, at least it isnt warm yet, I had mine at the height of summer :(

Ask Alex if he has heard of Myth at Indigo tattoo, he is my Tattooist.

I'll ask him Monday. 3 hours free, for finishing and touching up on this piece, completly free.

On a side note, lol, i can't straighten my arm out fully, it hurts bad man and looks crap whilest its scabbing, as usually does. After pain is far worse than what it actually felt like when he was doing it!

Shouldn't be scabbing up that much if you are applying Bepanthen after washing your arm of course. Always wash it *lots* throughout the day.

It's the eye area thats got the scab. Nothing major! Throughout the tat ive noticed they look shit 2 days after but when the final layer of white skin comes off they look back to normal again.

Trem mate.

Once its complete, all the way up my arm. Say i was to go on a night out, would you shave your arm?

Nobody going to notice that theres no hair and the tattoo would stand out MUCH more without my blonde hair making it look lighter!

My mate shaves his arms to make his (god awful) tattoos clearer so I can't see why not. I shave my balls so your arm shouldn't be a problem.

Take care with sun burn as well, that will fade it to fuck.

Search Ebay for Tattoo Goo, that stuff is awesome, smells awesome and protects your tattoo from the sun.

Stu and his awesome tats :D -

https://forums.freddyshouse.com/general-2/228062-tattoo-cover-up-updated-09-03-09-a.html

Its a shame I was limited with design (I do like Jap though) and colours but thats the problem with cover-ups I'm afraid.

I want another covered up but this time I am getting it lasered off then having a full sleeve of whatever I want rather than being restricted.
Nice man, very nice.

I've got one that i want taking off completly, was advised by my tattoist i could get it lightened then cover it up. But i really REALLY don't want any tats on my back.

I hear its 3x painful & expensive, it's not a problem though i can handle both as you only pay in sessions.

The one i want taking is mainly outline with a slight bit of colour in it. The colour being black. I'd quite like to speak to somebody who has had the procedure done and can tell me, if not show me the outcome.

I 'heard' that the only scarring left behind is from what the tattoist has done when tattoing? No scarring from the surgery??

Shit man i don't remember posting in that thread AT ALL. To much weed back in the day ;/ shiiit.

If your tattoo artist can't draw it our from that, you need a better artist. This sort of thing is why you pay them.

I like the design, but I'm not sure I like the placement. It doesn't really flow with the shape of the leg. It is very open to being extended later on though.

Sorry, I'm not trying to piss on your idea but if it was me, I'd reshape it or more it somewhere else. Calves tend to suit designs which are taller than they are long, possibly broader at the top than at the base.

Hhhmmm... now you say it, you are pretty right, tho i was planning to place it a little closer to the kneecap.

Do you, by any chance, could provide me with an example of a design you mentioned? polinesyan/maori/celtic/tribal themed :)
