There's no disputing his talent but you gotta ask if he was working on a flat fee would it take as long :p

You know what I have thought that.

He doesn't stop, if it wasn't for my legs hurting he would do constant tattooing for the full 3 hours but I have to walk around after about 2 hours.

Ah so the truths coming out now, it's because of your fanniness ;)

Looking nice.

I've got 5 tattoos, had them since i was 14. I was young and shit, i've grown since and they look a fucking mess. They're also massive, one covers the whole of my back, the other goes from my shoulder, wrapped round my arm and ends up on my forearm.

If i had the money i'd get them taken off, if anybody asks about tattoos i tell them not to get em. Although they can look well (as above) if done by professionals etc

My tattooist says that all decent artists need to learn how to do cover-ups because it is where most of the work is now. It seems people who were teenagers in the early 90s had god awful tattoos and now they are older they regret them badly, like me and you.

I was so close to having more tattoos when I was 16/17 as well, I was desperate to have the tazmanian devil tattoo and also a naff eagle, thank god I didn't go through with it.

It sounds like you would be struggling with a cover-up but laser may be an option, if you haven't got much green in your tattoos a laser should shift them pretty good/quick.

I have to ring Indigo this week to see when he can get me in, my last visit was to just finish the background at the top of my arm so I didn't bother updating for that.

The orange looks really good now its healed but the blue really needs doing again.

Im only 19 lol. Not much a difference from 14 - 19, but they're really, really, REALLY fucked up. 2 of them are a complete mess.

Whats the price of laser based on? Per inch or something lol?

The tattoos are far to big to be covered, well the one on my back is. The one around my arm could be covered into a sleeve, which i would like. Mother offered to pay for one or pay for my driving lessons, i took driving lessons.

A good tattooist said to me he could fix my back up for £60 an hour, so roughly it's gonna cost around £700 which i cant pull out my ass, which is a shame.

If i had that type of money i think i'd get them completly removed. Interested in laser surgery though

Heh sorry about that :D

Laser is about £50 per session, obviously you do one tattoo until its gone then go onto the next.

If you are having the one on your back fixed please look around and ask to see similar work that the tattooist has done, you really need to see photos of their work in that area.

Yeah i think i should tbh, i wish i had enough money to do it.

£50 a session is quite cheap, i was expecting it to be like 2grand a tattoo lol.

Wonder how much they can get rid of per session, also is it painful? I heard its more painful than actually getting the tattoo. Tattoo pain rocks though

Laser pain is akin to someone repeatedly flicking you in the same place with a hot elastic band. It hurts more afterwards, but cool water soaked flannels and some nurofen beforehand do much to help. To get a tattoo removed that covers your whole back, you're looking at, at least, 15 sessions of about 20 minutes per session.....and thats not even guaranteed to shift it......I would strongly recommend you look into it and do some research.

All done now.

It was suggested that he may look a bit like grounds keeper willy due to his ginger beard, but I couldn't care less. For one Willy is damn cool, for two I could only have certain colours due to it being a cover-up and for three the orange is still so bright and vibraint that I just love it and for four my favourite colour is orange :D

My tattooist has also changed the colour of the flowers from simply orange to orangey/yellowey/greeney and they look stunning. I couldn't get a great pic of the flowers because Samm is doing tea and cba to piss about with the camera.

At the top of the tattoo above his claws you can see a lot of solid black, this will obviously end up the same shade as all the other black when its healed, Paul couldn't really do much else there due to what he was covering, its done quite well though, sort of a shadow of the claws type thing.

So from this -

Isn't bad and it was all done in 19 easy hours.............

Nice work that Trem, a definate improvement no doubt about that. I am not into tats myself but he certainly turned an ugly couple of tattoos into something quite striking.

I will try get Slain to post the first of his sleeve tats now it is totally complete. He is going for a Heaven and Hell theme on his arms and the Heaven part is pretty damn cool although the cherub could have been better.

Very nice results there Trem, nice to see the finished product.

I've got a lot of tattoo's and <crosses fingers> training to be a tattoo artist soon, if I can free time up from work. I'd say getting any tattoo's <20 is crazy, you have so many ideas and being impatient means you make the wrong decisions and always being strapped for cash you go for the cheap options.

Still, thats a quality coverup there Trem, thinking of getting any more?

On the day no, but now hell yeah :D

Already looking around for my next idea but on my left arm. This time may well get my old tattoo lazered off first then I can have whatever I like.

Really quite fancy this.

Nice cover! Really like what he was able to do with the limits a coverup comes with.

Doing my 2nd tatoo in a bit.. Not doing sleeve, both being around midsize on my left arm and right

I usually spend a few months between sessions, that way I can design/put something together and I know I'll be happy with it.

I like Skull image, keep us in the loop with what you decide to go on... :D

In some sort of self hating way I did think that tonight :D

Nah I'm happy with this now, especially because I can add to it if I want, full sleeve etc. Right now though I couldn't take the inner arm pain, I did have 6 more hours booked for the full half sleeve but I decided to pass on it.

Would love to see some of your designs, and I hope you go for it regards tattooing, apart from it being an amazing job it bloody pays well as well.

I fear having seen yours mine will be weak in comparison! I'll use the excuse that mine are old :)

Although I got some Oni added to my left sleeve, I'll try and upload a picture from the phone.

Haven't read all the thread Trem but saw the latest pic, good work.

Did Mark do all of that? I am sure I just saw something about Indigo. They are a damn good studio, fully recommend them.

I've had a lot of work since we last spoke about you going to see Mark and my ex (I just found your old PM haha cool beans).

I've had a Salvador Dali piece (cubist christ) on my forearm and Birth Machine by giger on the inside. Just had "Nazi's are Sexy" by Trevor Brown on the inside of my upper arm and it really fucking pissed me off with the niggling shit on the inside (my right arm didn't bother me).

Oh aye I'm collecting paintings if you haven't guessed. I didn't get the swastika part of Nazi's are Sexy - replaced it with a Psychic Cross.

Good work fella. You should go to State of the Art convention at Derby.

Indigo did it all chumski. Golden Dragon never got back to me and I got sick of chasing them.

Paul Naylor at Indigo is a fine artist and a great bloke, just a shame I couldn't let him have a go at some clear skin rather than a cover up job.

As I have said before I owe a lot of going through with this to you I am just so glad I researched and you pointing me at Golden Dragon let me see that actually good jobs can be made of cover ups.

Xtro tat pics gifv!
