I have had another session but missed the window of opportunity to take pictures. It is all now scabby and flaky so will update after the next session.

By the end of the next visit it will of been 15 hours and possibly another 6 or 9 to complete it, not bad at 70 quid an hour.

Oi!

Never forget mine is a cover up and as far as cover ups go its very good, but yes each to their own.

I would say yours is done in a more old skool style than mine, each tattooist has different styles, old skool doesn't mean bad though.

Ofc, i like your waves and the back shading, like a japanese sun. Just not overly pleased with the dragon, cant place why. Nice colours so far though, and mines a sleave so lots going on round the back aswell :)

Probably because its more the dragons head rather than the whole picture, had to go that route so the bulk of the tattoo was over my old ones. I would of prefered a smaller dragon to get more of his body and scales and stuff but alas I couldn't.

It has lots of orange, red and purple in it now, bit miffed the flowers are the same colour as the lots of the colour on the dragon but like you mine isn't finished yet so hopefully the flowers will get some white in there or something.

Will take a pic when the scabs have gone.

Tbh, I liked it up until the red/orange. Still, looks better than the skull thing :)

The orange beard just makes me think groundskeeper Willie from The Simpsons.

I have to admit it is taking some getting used to from me as well, I am kind of fucked either way :D

I thought Donald Sutherland, but Willie will please me just as much.

Its hard trusting someone with your skin, I am sure the tattooist knows best for what is needed to cover up my old stuff so I leave him to it.

Tattoos are for gays.

Alright Trem? :m00:

YAY!!

Xtro ftw!

Ay up chum.

I think it's coming on nicely, when's the next session?

2 weeks today and its my last session which is slightly worrying but he said he will finish it on Sundays. The next session will be a bit boring as he is going over the blue again. I remember now what he said about the orange, he said it goes nice with grey.

Tomorrow luv, it won't be finished though. It is the last booked session so I will have to see what happens after. Will be a bit annoyed if I have to wait 6 months to get it finished as I know that is the length of his waiting list.

So after tomorrow it will be 15 hours and nowhere near done :(

If someone is prepared to 1) wait 6 months and 2) pay that much there are only two conclusions about that person.

the first is that they are a sucker, second is that they know the artist is shit hot and are willing to pay/wait for the skillzzzzzzzzz

Thats me!

It took me 2 years of searching, reading tattoo forums, asking Xtro and studying the guys work before I chose him.

Funnily enough he is not known for his colour work, he has shed loads of awards for his black and grey though.

I finally chose him because he is a nice guy and knows his stuff and my main point of all this was to get the old ones covered up, at one point I was just going to have solid black sleeves I was that desperate to hide them.

Yes I could of gone the laser route and I probably will on my other old tattoo but I like tattoos and wanted a big fuck off one :D
