Find your exchange there, they list the enabling date of FTTC ( infinity ) date, if no date is set you're in the 2013+ timeframe.

Well now we dont live in Japan and Korea. But thoose poor japs and koreans need something when they live in a shoebox size apartment with an entire family and closest relatives.

Depends I guess, prob varies from person to person like any other ISP I personally havent had any issues since joining TalkTalk like 2 years ago or so now? not been throttled once, never had slow speeds (except for a fault on the line once which was fixed within 48 hours of reporting it)

My virgin 30mb caps out at 3700 kb/s, apart from gay time (throttled time) its always constant.

So thats roughly 9000-10000kb/s DL + 700-800kb/s UL (assuming they don't cap the upload at 200kb/s which they shouldnt do as it would surely be false advertisiing if it clearly says "20mb upload speed")

I get 3.3m download and 400k upload with very little chance of it being upgraded. Between me and the exchange there are two golf courses and a dual carriageway. I can't see them laying optical fibre under that. I can't say I notice any high ping in games though, usually around 25-30ms, occasionally 50ms on a bad day.

It's something I have got used to though, I do all my TV shows/steam downloading overnight, though I can just about download as fast as I watch on standard quality TV shows, HD no chance.
