Takeaway's from Hell

Take away food, tasty treat or evil Incarnate? Which do you think it is? IMO it's the best food out there. What's the worse take away you've experienced?

If I'm going to eat out then you cant beat a great restaurant...take away food doesnt come close to the quality and tsate of a great restaurant.

The last time I had a kebab it put me off for life. No matter how much listerine I gargled / drank my mouth tasted like wet dog for about three days.

It was chicken, in bread, with ketchup, basically...wtf?

It also depends where you live. Most places have pizza, fish 'n chips, burgers, Chinese and Indian; but if you live somewhere more cosmopolitan you can get Thai, Lebonese, Korean, Japanese and endless others. Korean and Japanese are my favourites but Thai is great too; but, like Dys says, eating at the restaurant is always better...

A decent Kabab after drinking lots of pints of larger or what ever alcoholic beverage you drink, is fine and dandy.

Question.

Why is it that when your pished, you can eat the pizza straight from the box as soon as its out of the oven, yet when your sober, you cant touch that hot melted cheese until 10 minutes later??

(try to forget that the morning after the pissed_eating_hot_pizza experience, the roof of your mouth feels like its melted away)

Shop? This was out the back of a van, and i was served by a greasy mexican in a bandana...

Don't think I've ever had a bad take away. Dropped my kebab on the floor a few times as soon as I opened the box. Is upsetting but not too bad after you scrape away the carpet fluff

Found a really nice kebab shop near here. They give you bread and the lamb in one box, then another box full of salad, and a few pots of sauces. Can build your own which is quite satisfying.

Used to go to a Chinese owned chip shop every week until the papers printed a story about them having dead badgers drying in their living room. Did damn good chicken and mushrooms pies.

We figured out the other week that this southern shithole known as Bracknell, where GAME decided to plonk its prestigious head office, doesn't have one restaurant. Not one. And it's a big town too. We have pubs that do food, and chinese takeaways but actual restaurants? None.

Down the road in Wokingham, they've got dozens of 'em. And seemingly more gorgeous young ladies per capita than anywhere in the country (though oddly, Glossop's fantastic for that too).

About time I moved I think.

Worst takeaway I had was a Chicken Phaal from some takeaway in Walkley in Sheffield at some ungodly hour. Tasted great at the time but the pain the next day was indescribable.
