T2 a team game??

if im speakin out of turn, i'll apologise now. although i'm new to tribes, i'm not new to the online gamin scene, i.e. i'm not a complete newbie but T2 IMHO, more than any game i've played requires a high degree of team work for success, no??

every game i've played in so far, regardless of game type, has been played as a deathmatch. this is ok i guess but i think its hard for ppl such as myself to learn how to become a productive member of the team when there is zero guidence and co-ordination.

any other ppl new to T2 got any views....??

catch 22, clans are only gonna want ya if u know what ur doin. i have reached the point on the learnin curve where its gonna be easier to progress whilst playin with teamplayers. i guess its lan games and bots for me....

i do feel youve got a point... dats why im thinking of joining a clan. to be honest most fps ive played get that much better when in a clan.

Mjr Tom, not really. If you have ability you`ll be spotted on pubbies whether its a newbie free-4-all or not. While everyone is queueing up for a shrike, grab your kit, get off into the hills and tan the nme base, make some snatches, you`ll get noticed by others that know how to spot talent. The pubbies will settle down once everyone gets used to the toys and starts to wonder just what is on the other side of the mountains, then better pub play will arrive.

Agree on the clan thing (they`re called Tribes, not clans), I`ve played in team games since Quake for dos and Tribes had the most rewarding of all team experiences. Tribes2 with its more balancing play and more contraptions look to excell even that. T2 organised matches will kick serious arse. Get in one.

The game is new, let the people play with their new toy. Soon teamplay will start back up. Exact same thing happend when Tribes 1 was released.

Don't worry, once people have experimented with the vehicles and found what they are good at, and found good ski capture routes, things will start hotting up again.

I used to be a pretty darn good capper in Tribes1 but the new maps are giveing me hell, so when i play, i usually ignore the flag game and just piss around trying to get used to doing bombing runs and spotting for good ski routes out of bases. When i feel comfortable i will start to play more thinking about the actual objective.

Trust me, i went on a US server and the teamplay was pretty good for a pub, because they have had the game for 2/3 weeks. It won't be long before we have these kinds of games too.

BTW, tribes1 and 2 are both the more team orientated games i have played and have the most amount of teamplay on public servers. If you want the full whack join a tribe and get rockin

thx for the advice custard & mongrol. as soon as i feel i can cut as a T2 player i will search out a tribe to join. however you play, its just a fookin amazin game.
