Hello everyone i have just recently purchesed a copy of the fine game Tribes 2 and I was wondering if anyone could give me hints and tips on playing it online?

You'll find you'll build a lot more respect for yourself if you don't act like the more selfish players out there.

If you just remember that it's a team game you'll have lots more fun

hint 1 : learn how to use the spin fuser well, there r to many people just trying to shoot people out the sky with a spin fuser and its just a waste of ammo!

hint 2 : to be the best team player do what the team needs, e.g. defend gen or repair any1/ anything

teamplay is the essance of tribes 2. If everyone took that attitude then teamplay is dead!

PAD SNIPEING IS A VALID TACTIC TO DENY THE NME A IMPORTANT ASSET

Yes - it's a valid tactic - but don't fool yourself that it deny's the NME an important asset. It:

1) Makes you an irritating wanker.
2) Helps your team far less than if you were doing any one of a million other tasks. (Turret monkey?/Gen Rape?/Turret Destroying?)
3) It's very, very, very gay.

Mongy - just because a lot of players are lazy arses who do nothing for the team doesn't mean you should encourage it.

Personally - when I get on I tend to end up doing one of 3 things:

1) Capping (my preferred job)
2) Gen Destroying (again I like it - and if no-one else is......)
3) Turret Monkey/Defence (what I usually end up doing because no-one else can be arsed - and it makes the biggest difference to the game (more often than not completely turns a losing side into a winning one)).....

I agree, often one of the reason's your team is loosing is because of poor defence! Do your bit and help the team, we you do go onto a pub server and there is teamplay there is nothing better!!
