My PC spec is

Well Techincal Help forum would be a good start.

There is actually a stick thread there which might solve your porting restart problems, and thats where Tech help is funnily enough :p

Think it's ur 3d card tho..

never seen a Geforce Ati 4.. may not be supported :D

On a serieus note, update ur NVidia drivers lol, it would be so stupid if you had ATI drivers installed :D

www.nvidia.com

Also, you can get memtest (g00gle) to see if ur memory has some issues, and get Everest Home Edition (g00gle) to see some PC info.. check your temps and power supply

it's a geoforce! :)

is it an ATI Radeon or an NVIDIA Geforce card?

Either way - find out which and upgrade your drivers :)

Ok ive got the spec wrong.
Its a..
AMD Athlon 64HT 3500+
1gb PC3200 DDR SDram
GeForce 4 Ti4600

I am Running 54Mbps Wireless network
( Me as the reciever from the Modem ). nt the domain user

Problems are:
Restarting computer when port to Keeps.
When running around RvR PC restarts

Could this be because of the GFX card getting to hot?
I mean it already has 3 fans in the compter and one for the CPU...

Any help would be much appreciated

The PC restarting is actually windows restarting. It restarts on a fatal error by default, instead of showing you a BSOD with some vage error details.

To change this do the follow (don't worry this wont dmg your pc in anyway). heh take the word of a random stranger. anyway

Right click my computer, Properties. I cant remember of the top of my head as this machine is 2k (at work atm), but there should be an advanced tab. What your looking for is a button that says something like Startup and Recovery.

In there you should see some options relating to system failure.
Write an event to the system log
Send an administratuve alert
Automatically reboot

untick Automatically reboot, then click ok. Now next time there is a fatal error, instead of rebooting, you should see a blue screen with some error info. its normally pretty vague, but can give you clues to what the problem is.

The half duplex doesnt effect Wireless cards. Its a setting related to a cable/hard connection. Wireless works differently unfortunaly.

At least you know what is causing the problem now. Maybe it is worth buying a new wireless card? You can get a new one for about 15-20 pounds in the uk.

Geforce TI 4600 is where your problem is. It's pretty old (2 years) and doesn't perform well enough anymore for recent games.

Your systems is nice, but buy a new gfx card.

I'm sorry to say but that's utter balls. GeForce 4 Ti 4600 may be not no state of the art and it may not be that fast as newer generation card but it is within the min req's of catacombs and more even it will not make your pc crash.

It is probably just a wrongly installed chipset drivers and graphics drivers...

Running a heavy game on a gfx card will either work or not. Won't overheat your gfx card, won't crash your pc.
If your card overheats there's a different problem.
By the way... I've seen people with lesser cards play this game.

Please, get your facts together before giving flawed advice...

Quote the whole message please - I have seen that message before but can't remember where sorry - the rest of the message may help.

Also, I had problems with wireless and BF2 & DAoC.

Only solution I had was to drop the wireless part and physically wire it.

Damn annoying .. but no more lagg. :)
