crap honestly, dont like the changes at all but its comming and you cant stop it, honestly im really worried about the power ra changes cus im playing a cleric and its really important to have them as cleric.

gunz kalba and horsma (the finnish crew from excal) irl cus hes cool, dunno really its a game and the chars and irc personalitys are really different from irl i guess.

Im really looking forward to darkfall witch is pure pvp and no levels still it does require you to kill heal and so on to get better at those skills you do, but this really seem to be the future game for me, and tho I dont like how wow is looking im really looking forward to get my hands on a beta to just try it out.

not playing on prydwen much but i did some runs in emain with my old guild m8s <jack herer> and noticed you have still loads of rvr fgs out in emain so i couldn't say it was that bad on prydwen.

Tho my first char i exped took ages and i hated it and wanted out rvr I would do it again because rvr is really great in daoc if you enjoy it.

In all honesty, I would say bodyguard, kinda defeats the whole thing about melee / caster advantages and drawbacks. This ain't the only bad thing though but I'd say it's the worst.

Albion : Clerics. I think wizards need a good boost as well, but well, clerics are the backbone, and Albion severly lacks those.
Hibernia: Mentalists. Not totally gimp but pretty close.
Midgard: Bonedancers. In need of a brain upgrade.

Just one and enjoying myself.

Not a big fan of alts, so none really, but if I was playing another realm I'd play :
Midgard : Most likely a SM
Hibernia : Either mana or ligth eldritch or enchanter. Probably enchanter due to speed & pet.

Interesting, provided it's not exclusively big stand offs and that keep sieges don't give defenders an overwhelming advantage like it is atm.

Declined, I had and still have my views on how PvP should be, from a MUDder perspective, and DAoC is lightyears away. Just a PvE combat system that smells of everquest vaguely tweaked for PvP.

AE CC is silly, interrupts are silly, buffs are retarded (and the mere fact there is buffbots even more), having character run at different speed is silly, damage dealt is insane, keeps are just flags on a hill that you have to defend from the outside (now *that* is crazy), and it's all a game of haves and have nots where individual 'skills' or experience or strategy, or whatever, have little impact on the outcome of most fights involving equal numbers. DAoC PvP is more about group setups with specific abilities, buffbots, realm abilities, master abilities and gear more than anything. People get used to it etc, but I can't help thinking it should be so much better.

Class balance is kinda lacking also, and Mythic made a big mistake balancing classes on utility/offense/defense instead of balancing on offense/defense then give every single class decent utility. Worst of all, they often break their own bad design (which is better than no design) and you get stupid things like instant spells that still interrupt even though they can't be interrupted kinda things, or a million little things I won't list here.

Still a good game, but smells of one that was only ever designed to grab some of the EQ market with no thought about PvP whatsoever. Was kinda disapointing for me as a long timer PvP MUD'er.

Personally think its done more harm than good in regards to RvR, but the PvE side is still fun.

Better items and the ability to truely make your character unique stats wise.

Some of the abilitys/items make a character too powerfull, making some even more overpowered than they used to be.

Alb - Wizard not enough utility when compaired to other realms primary casters
Hib - Mentalist Very little they offer in regards to RvR combat.
Mid - Thane enough said tbh.

Too many to list but of the 14 chars i only actively play 2-3 of them at most.

If i had a choice i`d like to try a high realm rank Healing class.

Great idea`s, but i think its too centred around ranged combat, which only casters are effective at, leaves tanks with little to do.

Friendships, the fun and the fact that DAoC has a game aspect that I'd miss too much in another MMORPG; namely RvR.

3.Now that ToA is here what do you think of it's impact?

I think it has had a big impact. Savages are now more nasty that pre-nerf, for instance. Also the amount of time it takes for a player just to completely outfit and complete one character is very high. I like the content of ToA, I just do not appreciate the fact that it forces you away from having alts to a certain extent, and the big amounts of time it forces you to use after reaching lvl50.

More content, better graphics.

That it isn't really optional if you want to compete.

Shaman: Love to play it, my absolute favourite class of all.
Berserker: Don't like to play it, I feel that it's inferior compared to savages.
Bonedancer: Don't like to play it, it's boring.
Spiritmaster: Like to play it, but I'd rather play my shaman.
Eldritch: Don't like to play it, as boring as BD.

Some are good, some aren't. My main concern is that it will turn the game into a zerg vs. zerg focused solely around keep takes/defense.

WoW, obviously, is very hyped and I'll definitely want to try it. Vanguard has potential, Middle Earth Online looks sweet. Those are the most close contestants to DAoC in my eyes.

Alb - Friar, used to love grouping with them back in the day (hopefully sorted in NF)
Hib - Like majority have groupability problems? Oo I would guess some of less group-friendly specs void elds, mentalists, champions.
Mid - Thane, I guess, break more mez plz.

Cleric - Enjoy in PvE and enjoy in keepy stuff rvr, never really got on with the 1fg gank stuff apart from mid-sotl-peak.
Paladin - PvE mostly, is strong tank, cant say I like it for its existence but more for its utility.
Infil - Kitting out in ToA gear atm, has been shelved for a while (yay?)
Air Theurg - rarely played.

Pure PBAE classes, spiritmaster/mana eld, I guess.

Looks good, dont like the expensive RAs and the nerf to my power RAs tho. Byebye MCL2/RP :< (cleric without power = hi). Dont like passive TS. I also dont like the look of the god damn laggy keeps.

(There are lots more friendly guildies who are great people ingame, fasti, soha, etc. and I'm sure people from GoA/GoP/SotL who I have forgotten)

No bandwagon MMOGs, please. At least DAoC LOOKED to have potential when it was announced, all these POS money grabbing MMOGs are a waste of space. If i quit daoc I would probably go back to FPS games for a bit until something worth playing was announced.

My feeling towards community (albion) and rvr community (this forum) hasnt changed since outset of me playing, really. I wouldnt say pleased, content I guess.

RvR got a bit trickier with it, bodyguarded casters and grapple in pbaoe and all sorts of stuff that makes you go boo hoo.

It looks nice, I love funky gfx and the new UI's

All the time it takes to lvl and get artifacts.

The hybrids, thanes/champs/reavers are often parked at the PK being the sad bastard people only want for PvE.

1 Minstrel - Funky class, the one I play as my main.
1 Reaver - I got a whip, prolly the most fun class I've played.

1. Yep, I do. Yesterday we had guild RvR after a long while with our old grp and it was really nice.

2. Reaching RR11 and ppl I play with.

3. Not that big as I thought first, but hibs are harder now and alb is harder to play.

4. ML raids are quite fun, if lead properly, much more damage and nice itams.

5. Good guys (like Tattersail) quitting game

7. 2 lvl50s, merc and infeel.. Merc is very nice in a good grp and infil is cool too if 1vs1 fights, but when zerg it's just zzzz.

It makes huge difference but the rvr impact is mostly good even if big, adds more diversity to the fights.

Some artifacts and ML abilities are perhaps bit too powerful. Doors especially go down way too fast after ToA, and this makes RR's and keepraiding worse in my opinion. Hope frontiers addresses this.
Artifact exping can be dull sometimes/often, but usually it's okay. Just spent good part of day exping in nice company and got item to level 10. Had much fun in fact

Maybe Thanes could use some new abilities or something. They're okay with their shields and spells but Warriors make better job at guarding so would need something to make up for it.

Hmm.. Spiritmaster, Savage, Warrior, SB, Skald.. I enjoy all of them when I play them but usually I play my SM and use savage/warrior/skald for PvE stuff when I need them. I'd like to play them more but I don't have the time I'd want to invest in the characters so I end up playing my SM like always.

8.Which enemy class would you like to play in rvr if you had a choice from them all?
Some caster might be nice to try.. Sorcerer, Theurgist or Eldrith maybe.

The new realm ability system looks nice too, much much more choices and RA's to go for. Big choices ahead when it comes, too.

No idea.. Haven't got bored yet and enjoy it loads. New Frontiers will probably keep me entertained for long, long time.

RvR wise the situation is bit weird lately.. Mostly HW and Odin's - where I usually rvr at - are empty and when there's someone there, it's a gank group of some kind. It used to be different, gank groups went emain to play rvr they like, and others came to HW and Odin's.

I think its inpact was just another attempt at making things easier so mythic can rebalance the game again as they please.

Casters can actualy kill things without assisting debuff casters.

Tanks being able to drop everything much faster when they get in melee range, + alot of selfish ppl that dont give anything back after taking.

Krissy (Air Theurgist) - My main since release, always been this spec and have always loved it, perfect mix of damage and utility.
Froster (Ice Wizard) - I enjoy this char in keeps as well as in Erods old PBAE groups, and helps alot in ToA farming atm.
Ninetails (50 Shield Reaver) - Great to duo with pallys as well as fun to play as a tank and not a 1hit dead class.
Pied (Stealth Minstrel) - Not played so much atm, mainly due to to much to sort templates for already so not got the time to sort it, thou loved it in duo stealth RvR.
Conc (Cleric) - Mainly lvled to take preasure off Jenkz to be cleric in our duo PvE, retired it since to perm housing zone char, rarly loged on and never played.
Kristofer (47 PBT-BOT) - Lvled for SotL PvE raids, helpful char that has a good pbt and can contribute more than my Air Theurgist.

Melee Ranger - Mainly because ive always wanted an archer and in Frontiers rangers melee owns silly so ive heard and would like an overpowered class for once.

I think the upgrades to RvR are a good idea mostly, apart from no APK etc to port to, Thou saying that ive got lvl 10 Alvarus' Leggings so can shark form and swim wherever (wants to play Jaws).

No idea, till Jenkz quits and I get bored being alone ingame.

More so since mids lost the relics, hibs have came out to play alot more as well as albion finaly seems to have some standard leaders other than the newbies that have been around since day one of release and still cant lead properly.

Yes, thou id of speced earth and respeced at 40 + lvled a bb to begin with and a necro on the same account for alt powerlvl, ah, and not bothered with my cleric (such a waste of time)

They're ok, good keep infrastructure changes, Frontier layout changes may provide less densely populated areas (amgE atm) so zergs / gankage might not be so bad. RA system changes are ok, not really looked at it but removing Dodger = ;/ for NS tbh less chance for that evade stun thing, same for sb's i guess, to a lesser extent, inf's DF also. so kinda works out in the end.
