all morning, the registration page is under maintenance - will be up as soon as possible,

any goa gms wanna fill us mere mortals in on how long its gonna take?

Aye it is a complete pisstake, 3 days my brother has been trying to register his copy of DAoC. Not a great impression to make on a new player when he can't activate his account for 3 days running.

Myself and a couple of friends have been trying since last night to subscribe.

And from what I hear even if the page does miraculously come up at some point we might be waiting 2-3 weeks for a password.

As much as I wanna play the game, I'm just as inclined to take the damn game back to the store.

Down for maintainence or temp unavailable?

Seem to be getting one of two messages now, ones says the server is down for maintainence the other says that its temporarily unavailable and I should try in a few minutes!

And I still haven't recieved a reply to either of my emails.

Seems to me GOA should invest more in their existing customers rather than trying to attract new customers (how many classic users were going to upgrade, surely they have the server statistics and a degree of foresight). The current subscription fiasco adds to a lengthly list of GOA cockups.

I thought the idea of a subscription based game was to generate revenue AFTER the game was purchased and GOA can't even get that right.

i would go so far as to venture that there are no goa representatives working on the registration page today, and they have simply disconnected it so that their subscription department has a liitle less backlog.

I got rid of my daoc acc about a year ago..
decided to come back and try the new expansion out :-}

and yeah its 20.25 gmt and nowt !!!!!

Any chance you just have a dodgey Inet connections? you said it yourself, you had connection problems with the forum, the problem is undocumented.

Don't get me wrong if it is a problem at their end i fully sympathise, but you never know.

trust me, i know what im doing and it isnt up and working.

the account page comes up asking for passwords, but clicking on "registration" (to enter your daoc cd key and get your password for the very first time) brings up a page telling you it is under maintenance.

why dont you try it yourself? that would be an easier way of testing it. click registration and watch it bomb out informing you it will be sorted as soon as possible

oh yeah, and my internet connection is perfect atm. no issues. its just goa being crap

i did test it myself, hence my question as to if your connection works. Go figure i must just be really lucky

so you clicked on registration, then on register and it let you on?

sure you didnt click on account? because that works, for accounts that are already created, but not to register a brand new copy of DAOC, not SI but the entire game...

Wannadon't - more like.

All these people trying to get on and register.

I've got a group of 4 now and none of them can register.

It's been 26 hours and rising.

No email back from Wannadoo, didn't even get a confirmation that my email had been received, nor any kind of ticket informing me that they would get back to me within 72 hours.

Completely outrageous.

Might just stick with Mythic's USA version and Wanadoo can go screw their abysmal customer service.
