what the hell is the problem?
jeez, if someone is gonna start lecturing about all the issues with rvr on daoc/exc, then i wanna know where he's coming from, whether he's a daily rvr'er, moves in a guild group, random groups, if he goes emain, odins, hw, has he tried each? has he tried/lead keep raids, relic raids, df raids, rvr'ed in df, the different group setups he's run and so on and so forth..
you guys are all so fucking politically correct, if someone was coming for a job and had 0 experience, would you say 'yes sure, we were all dumb fucks once' and let him take it?
no, i just wanna see if he has a experienced opinion, cus i never heard of or seen the guy

You a right tzee and at least u asking more about him where as others just see 2 chars in sig and thats it.For all we know he could have 10 rr10 chars in US or 1000000000 rr2 chars etc.It was late last night and i was tired but the point remains i hate to see soem1 make his opinion and be shot downby some1 cus he has less RR than them

I remember only a few weeks ago when my fg tried to run with Outlaws grp, and they asked us not to follow them cus they didnt want to zerg!

Zerging sucks and its causing tons of agro and pissing people off. Myself, well ill keep going to Emain cus i want to build up the RPs too, but lately ive been having less and less fun.

We need rvr zones - maybe a limiting factor on numbers or perhaps 'amphitheatres' where you can engage only one group - been said before Im sure, but Mythic seem keen on pve for some strange reason when 70% of its customers only want rvr ( tell me Im wrong _ I dare ya ;-) )
Anyway, I guess Ill wait and see what the long awaited rvr expansion gives...

Thankyou for your wonderful post Poon, i think Talivar pretty much summed this up.
As it happens i have been playing this game for a long time now, i got my merc to 50 the hard way, i explored the game, the class i was playing, then i went RvR with my merc for the first time on and in those days i could happily log on, join a random group and go out and play my class in a group.
after a while of wandering i decided to concentrate a little more on RvR and had the opportunity to join a set Guild group in Black Legion which enjoyed some success and some failure, there were alot more Fg's running looking for other Fg's to fight and i must say i enjoy fighting this style, its in most cases even relying on the abilitys used by the players to win rather than superiority of numbers.
of course there were zergs, but that was in Emain only at the time unless there was a significant event such as a keep take (remember when Corpse Summoners were introduced...fun keep battles..remember fun? no?)
of course things change (for better or worse) and eventually me and a few ingame friends decided to setup a small friend only guild with the specific aim of running in a set balanced FG soemthing of a rarity in Emain, and for some days we did as we had done before, ran in odins or the Gorge and as before with success. we worked as a team and sometimes we won, sometimes we were unlucky what you would expect realy. the main difference between this rvr and the rvr i am experiencing now is it was fun to fight and lose.
with the hacking of GOA our guild faced a severe problem our sorcered had his account wiped and could not get a hold of GOA to get it back (they never did get him back) also our main cleric could not renew his account and our other cleric left the game.
in response the few of us still on rolled alts me choosing to fufil the role of cleric, this is a relatively new character only 10 days /played.
The trouble is when we finally got everyone back and started to get active again the troubles of everyday life in overcrowded Emain spilled over into Odins, and the only thing to pass through the Gorge are groups of Hibs traveling together.
Hibs Mids and Albs have zerged Odins to the state that most of the guilds who do go there for FG fights will undoubtedly get steamrollered at some point, this usually ends up at the apk or hpk.
Rvr is no longer about playing as a team, its about who can field the most FOTM groups.
Now im sorry that i can only play in the evenings for a few hours rather than spending all my natural life in emain with the perfect FOTM JH group and farm a RR a day Poon. (exaduration but you know the point im making)
and im sorry Tzeench for not being in the Emain zerg you so often farm to buggery using your amazing skill.
I used to respec you Poon for not giving up playing your Zerker but it seems you are just as bad as those who rerolled Savage.
As for skill...the only person who has posted here with any real skill is Talivar for going out solo in Odins.
another quick point i hate it when Albs add on our fights as it not only looks bad on us but it spoils the fight. Winning a fight you cant possibly lose is no fun, and people who like a fair fight cant get any because of those individuals hell bent on turning one of the nicest places to have a Fg scrap into something resebling Emain, with all the hate, annoyance and frustration that tags along to the unlucky part with less numbers or less RA's.

You don't seem to know much of me, so let me just tell you I've done pretty much everything there is in this game.. I don't simply follow because I'm a lazy arse, I make things happen.

This game will never have gentlemanly conduct, until the server population drops to sub ~1000 at primetime. Don't expect otherwise.
