no way Jordi would play with his glases and invert some kind of beam that made the shields foce proof so the sith lord would bouce right off it. The the dude with the pointy head would fire phasers and torpedos and bye bye sith!

May be force proof, but ain't lightsaber proof and if the shields were forceproof, a human could still go through as the shields were calibrated to different things :p

the whole argument is based on trek vs the empire and seeing as they were beaten by the good guys

Actually...

Good guys didn't win in star wars, they just blew up yet another death star. The empire bounced back after the first one, they would after the second.

Also in the comics, luke becomes the next emperor so...*best emperor voice* I'm quite afraid your trekkies are too late...

Why are the jedi fighting the Federation anyway? They're both good guys unless there was some collossal misunderstanding.

By the time the Empire is around there's only a couple of Jedi and two Sith. Fairly sure the Federation could pwn them given that most of the captains are not "weak minded" so the jedi mind tricks wouldn't work on them immediately. If we agree that the enterprise can beat the destroyers. There's force fields all over the place in a Federation ship, and in Ep3 force fields were enough to keep the Jedi still, not sure about Sith though. But if a Sith got onto my ship I'd beam him into space ^^

And the Q are omipotent. Way beyond the Force.

Ok here's the KILLER argument..

Startrek is based around a civilisation that gained space flight in the 21st century. The next generation was based 24th century so they've had what 300 years to gain the technology they had..

Starwars was set a long time ago far far away and had space flight even back then.
By the time the 2 sides meet starwars is likely to be miles ahead in the tecchie race, and doesn't have all the morality issues to contend with before starting to fire..

Win to starwars!

.

one thing about that arguement.. Palpatine and Vadar didnt die when the first one blew up, after the 2nd blew they lost the major players in the fight.
I be more worried about Admiral Thrawn though, he would tactically outsmart anyone in trek land. Add in the Noghri assassin's amoungst other things (depending on what era of star wars we are talking about of course) and there can be many a problem.

Of course the biggest mention has to go to the Sun Crusher, a ship that can not be destroyed and can fly through and eradicate ships, planets, suns etc without a worry. Just dont let Kip near it or the trekkies are doomed :D

You see thats were it gets interesting it cant be destroyed by star wars ships and laughable weaponry. But you set it agaist Enterprise Voyager and the Defiant. Add the one that splits in 3 that i can never rmember the name off and in a space battle the wars be boned ;)
