But if Jar Jar is in it then its going to be a good chance ruined.

BTW, I discovered today that a phrase "Jar Jar'd" (as in "this TV is Jar Jar'd") has surfaced to cover any technological device that bears extraneous add-ons or features that don't do much, are in no way useful and/or are also annoying.

I love it.

I know, I need to get out more.

PS: Ms Portman would be most welcome in Staz's Shag Pit. :smileysex

Heres a question. How many of you peeps who saw the original Star Wars trilogy when they were a kid (say 11 - 14) and then saw Episode 1 as an adult enjoyed it.

I saw the original Starwars on its first cinema release in 1977, as a kid and loved it. On seeing Episode 1 as an adult I hated it. I think that most kids who saw Episode 1 loved it ( any ive spoken to anyway).

But why is it we can sit and watch the original trilogy time and again and yet get utterly annoyed with Ep 1??

I for 1 still enjoy the originals because i can associate with how much I enjoyed it as a kid. It had such a big impact back then because it was so original and nothing had ever been done like it before

Im afraid I am - tbh Empire Strikes Back lacked the Star Wars feeling and had of the 'boredom' feeling, and Return of the Jedi was just too predictable

A New Hope was by far the best. tESB was good cos it was getting a bit darker, though every scene with Yoda deserves to be edited out. The last of the three was just self indulgent bollox probably based on sad theories ripped from the Starwars.com forums.

Episode 1, well don't even get me started on that. Politically correct poo.

I mean wtf was the explanation of the force about, the reference to 'battle hardened' droids (erm..droids dont become battle hardened...they have a warranty) , and that crap with the virgin birth! Jeez!

If you want real Star Wars run this from a command line:

telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl

Hmmm... telnet sessions into remote hosts, eh? Might wait until I get home and make sure meh firewall is okay before I try that one.

TdC - need you on stand-by, mateh.

Incidentally, are you the same Speccy I played at OpFlash recently?

yer. well 'played' is probably not a good way of putting it. repeatedly crashing aircraft into the ground is a better one.

That was Staz's map, wasn't it? I missed that one, but I was around when we ran Ch3tan over with the jeep.

Great days... great days. New game, please!

I have nothing to do with Op Flash online as yet coz I got no idea how to get it running online. If someone can get me sorted then I'll join in gladly.

Oops! I meant 'Shazz'z map' as in Shabazz. Sorry!

If you got a prob with the game, Staz post a new thread in the OpFlash forum and we'll try and help you out. We need all the players we can get. ;)

Anyway, back to the topic...

If you purchased the Star Wars Phantom Menace DVD you can now download the longer Trailer called Mystery via the DVD-Rom part of the DVD.

I must say that it really is starting to look very good.

I saw the short teaser night before last on Film 2001. Looks ok, but Ewan McGregor is now avec big beard.

Is it just me or does he sound like Mr Chumdly-Warner off Harry Enfield?
