Sorry to bring back an older thread,

My O2 contract is up for renewal and I wondered what everyone would recommend?

The Motorola V3 looks sexual, but it's £149.99 and quit a bit of chrome considering i'm a light phone user / texter.

The Nokia 6260 which also looks rather sexy

Or the Sony Ericsson K700i, or something else?

15 quid a month gets it for you for free here on orange. 's what I did, just got it t'other day

The only downside of the phone is there's no memory card expansion slot. Other than that, jolly good.

I quite like my SE K700i, though I'm not comparing it with anything else so there's probably better out there. It's free on most networks and certainly does everything I would want a phone to do.

Bloody annoying that you can't disable, or at least change, the camera shutter noise though. Oh, and the battery life is a bit on the low side too. Not sure if this is a general thing with this sort of phone.......

I have a SE k700i, the only thing i dont like about it is the 'joystick' it's a bit fiddly unless its just me with fat fingers :S

My mate has a Moto V3 looks sexy as hell, but lacks a little on the functionality, depends what u want i guess and as quoted before is a bit pricey, my K700i cost 10 quid on contract renewal

You might wanna look at the Samsung E800(810) tis a nice phone too!

If your going to spend on the v3, look at the s700i instead. Or if thats out of your price range, the only decent smasung, the new d500.

d500 is the phone for me after new year, altho someone at work said theres a few problems with it, dunno if hes talkin lé crap or what but i still want it ;o

What is the older T610/T630 like, how does it compare to the K700i ? I can upgrade mine to a T630 for free right now, but my cow-orker has got a K700i and it looks really nice, would I be missing much getting an older T630 instead ?

I've had my K700 for about 7 months now, it's a nice phone but it seems quite cheaply put together. The QuickShare thing at the bottom has fallen off and the back makes a squeeky noise as it doesn't go on fully. 'Tis quite a nice phone tho

yeh my quickshare things fallen off; also the battery is mega shite! a phone call and the bar goes down loads, its pretty crappy!
