I did not need to "choose" heterosexuality, as heterosexuality is perfectly normal and how we are designed to reproduce.
The choice only comes when you decide to stray from whats normal and natural.
well i did not need to "choose" homosexuality. it's how i am. i was not abused as a child. i did not have a bi-curious stage that i took 'too far'.
i've never found females sexually attractive and have never had romantic feelings for a woman. for me, being gay is normal, its all i know as i've never known differently. in junior school, i had crushes on other boys. in sixth form, i realised the fact that i had only ever been attracted to males meant i was gay. there was no choice anywhere.
i could not be "normal" (your term), as 1) its not accepting who i am, and 2) it would be unfair to any woman to lie to her about who i am and only be with her as its whats "normal" and expected.
