I had a good night today.............. on the way back from agramon where 2 albs grps left me one being thowens grp and another being duracleus i think im not sure, thank you for that.

And i decided to run from agramon to beno tower using SL. Where i firstly found a mincer, which i killed, then found a infil which i killed after he used vanish, but ofc.........sl was still up so he didn't get far, and then i found shatterhand, who gave me a duel which i again one, even though due to about 3 casters adding on our fight trying to kill me.

Thanks for the fun night, and thanks again to the 2 alb grps tha left me, and the 2 hib grps that left me at beno to. /hug

Soloing on pryd / excal is long gone, at least for a non stealther.

If your a stealther i guess you could leech / get one or two good fights a hour and grind your way past 5k/hour

But I have totally given up on the solo game, its no fun getting ganked by the warlock / SM zergs and even if you manage to get past them you still have to face the stealth zergs.

i mean its no fun boating to Odins or Emain just to get instant killed by some moron and hes new rr1 warlock. And agramon is just great for soloing non stealthers :touch:

maybe if we get Instant RvR back you could play late nights and mornings and get a few good fights and earn semi good RPs, Maybe

I found some solo action the other day, but it's the usual story of most areas are desered and the choke points are kinda busy.

Sometimes people are cool and let you duel, other times they add. I know some people hark back to some mythical golden age of soloing, when players where gentlemen or something - never seen it myself and I've played daoc on and off for a good few years now.

BTW give more reavers, they're kinda intersting to fight (not a whine, it's boring when the only soloers around are stealthers).

Out of curiousity, where abouts do people go to attempt to solo nowadays been playing warrior recently and struggling to find a place I can get a duel. Tried hadrians wall around the docks and occassus(sumin)/oriens bridge also the bridge near hib docks that heads to crim, all of which seem quite dead ;/

I'm yet to venture into agramon due to the fact i'll get rolled over by any fg but if thats the only place then so be it, where do the likes of kagato/Gahn etc go. or any solo tanks in general?

any ideas would be great, really want some more toe to toe close fights!

PS: thanks to the 3 albs at beno docks wearing blue, Overmind, Nemii and some other forgot sorry :/, who left me earlier when i got legion agro appreciate it and won't forget.

There IS a thriving solo 1on1 fight community out there, you just have to find it. Visible fighting wise - I wouldn't think about fighting till gone midnight or early in the day as there are just too many FG's around that "may" steamroll you.

FG's seem to be slowly let people have their 1on1 and THEN kill the winner - which imo is fair enough.

You get the occasional FG that steamrolls you again and again and again to get their lousy 200RP, and eventually (even Froboz) gets bored and they go off somewhere else when they realise they are killing 1 person every few minutes and such skill is involved.......
I mean one small whine - why not let me finish my fight with Gobo? I didn't expect to win, but it was "entertainment", something different from the usual steamroll. But oh no - we're having a good fight and of course I can see the alb zerg inc over the bridge - are they lame enough to steamroll me - 1 name comes up with 2 nukes - Froboz. Well done.

Anyway, there seem to be some really nice stealthers - some bloody tough RR5+ luris, and some tough RR3/4 melee rangers! Nerf your IP+WH+SoM :> And some tough mincers and Rugged, another Armsman? who is having fun beating people up (take heed Kagato :> you may lose your title :>)

The main places to get the fights seem to be out of the way of the usual roaming FG's. Next to Bled tower on the coast. Near Bled Docks. Near Beno/Agramon Bridge->Beno. But the time is definitely important. After midnight, less people about, less people are obnoxious f*ckers and they tend to watch most fights and cheer or clap or whatever.

You get the occasional Hib or Alb FG doing the rounds and they have a few good fights, so everything is good at the moment I think.

Generally i'll solo when I first log in to get a feel for the current situration and see how zergy it is, then usually group through prime time to defend if applicable and wait till past midnight when the solo action 'sometimes' becomes bearable.

But it really is quite random each night.

Ran with xekoliara/aurores etc for a bit in odins. Start of just 5 people, take on a small group of mids, get 2fg add (between bridge and the tower.
Go back, dont go near bridge, 2fg+ zerg us.
Repeat a couple times.

Fill group up
2-3fg zerg us couple times more, though always get some kills in
Cross bridge, hit some mids camping that area and bled, back out, run about a bit, go back and hit other mids escaping their little party of 2-3fg.

Not our fault if mids cry about a group of 4-5 people killing larger numbers then zerging about the area, sometimes when pulling back we went into bridge tower as get hit from opposite side as well but at no time did we camp it while i was there

Yeah this used to be tbh lately i find it impossible my fav fights are vs visual tanks (pep brad jamie....) but seems impossible to get them tbh i dont get pissed if i get killed after the fight tbh find it fair tbh but most cant stop that little finger pressing on the add 50-150 rp even if i am fighting 2 -3 and my chances are v v low still have to make it harder .
And to arumos i destealth usual vs lot of fights ( it makes me lose most of my best styles pa .. ) but i find it more entertaining learn my character more

Guess it would be pretty hard to get RR11 so fast without afew add kills tbh.Anyway he only asked where the good areas are for afew duels now and again.Andys sharp enuff to realise he`ll get gangbanged most of the time(and prob enjoy it aswell).Only tanks i see in primetime around solo are Jamie,Xyro,Brad,Kagato and Ravenmoan when hes back.

I like solo rvr, it's more of a challenge and imo more fun when it's 3v1 and you get lucky and beat all 3. Even though fg rvr does usually offer more rp's, it doesn't giv the excitement soloing does after you get a really close kill.

And thanks for all the fg alb/hibs lately that havent been killing me when i've been out. It's starting to change towards pre clustre when i could roam freely and not have to worry about being farmed by fg's, which is nice.

always solo on my hunter when i feel like playing it but its no fun compared to group rvr, if you got as many 1 vs 1 as fg vs fg in a night then it might be, but also being such low realm rank and quite inexperienced as a far from OP fotm as you can be ;p sword hunter i made for somthing different, i have really nice fights against other archers, especially ones specced for melee like i am for somthing different are enjoyable fights, but then fighting assassins, evade my 2h slow sword a lot, especially if im debuffed and as i cant afford purge yet, i have won a few fights against assassins, but decent ones high enough RR even those use abilitys like dotmine and such and its almost impossible at such low RR to put up a fight and this is when you actually get a 1 on 1 fight haha, so either i zerg my way up the rr's and be a hypocrit later on or be content with 5k a night and a long time until i will be able to compete better, or maybe its because i suck... im sure i will be told i do

and <3 to sleezer haha at manisch saying you zerg, ignore the moron, used to love the times in hadrians where i tried to save your ass from the alb stealth zerg and yelling at mids to leave you and then i dinged rr10 trying to save your ass from that sorc i watched you fight when he moced but i was too late try keep up the soloing anyway, maybe ill drag the hunter out more after the monkey is done

Around Beno I find is usually good for a few solos before the fgs come running back. Had a few good fights with stealthers, mostly hibs, on the bridges around there where I shit myself when they pop and then spam RAs till I realise they were dead 10mins ago and I can calm down.

Having said that it is near impossible to survive long soloing and it seems to be becoming more and more pointless, which is a pity.
