Guns laying about all over the place
Who wouldnt want to see a resonance cascade firsthand?

Cons

Lots of goons with guns trying to kill you
Chance of getting your face eaten off in some other dimension seems high

Pro's

Portal Gun would make travelling to work/pub nice and easy

Cons

Maniacal AI's seem to be common
Seems a lonely existence (what with everyone else seeming to be dead)

With black mesa you also get alyx! or wait you'd probably just be one of the guys gordon meets up with in the middle of no where and then randomly decides to bring armageddon to your quaint little village, thanks a bunch gordon(yay gordon's here they shout, yay?! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!?!?! LOOK AT THE LIGHTHOUSE!! It has 3 holes in it now.) then the bird who you thought would be nice to get with gets turned in to a headcrab zombie(the black humpback one so she'll throw her babies at you until you die) and your future theoretical relationship begins to look a little different to what you had planned...although little headcrab zombabies would be pretty cool to see, the hands would probably be pretty painful...unless you're in to that sort of thing..anyway.

Don't know about any of that lot...but one British guy has a cushy number - he does portraits of various Arab Sheiks and they pay him 6 figure sums for each one. He's done loads apparently.

Black Mesa, that portal thing would be totally useless as you need line of sight to set one up so that whole pub thing would involve at least one actual trip to the pub and then you'd have to leave the portal on the whole time so any **** could walk into your house.

At Black Mesa you'd just get the monorail. Job Done.

Also, the portal gun only works on moondust. The gravity gun works everywhere.
