I fail to see how two sisters have now been brought into this discussion and we still have yet to see any pictures of either one of them.

I'm concerned about the lack of respect being shown here tbh.

Did you even read my posts? It's not really about the money - it's about her lack of respect and her shitty attitude.

If it's not about the money, then stop posting how big buck stuff she loaned. For somethign "not about money" there sure is a need for exact numbers.

Yes i read your post, but even if my familymember ran a car through my bedroom window, pissed on my petunias and then shrugged it off, i'd still treat them like family, talk to them like family and not like to some random slut off the street. I certainly wouldn't call any of them by the worst insult i could imagine for braking stuff by accident.

If you can't talk to your own sister without the need for insults and raging over "my stuff got broken boohoo", not to mention bring the internet into it, then you deserve the treatment you get by her.

I don't how our philosophies on it can alter so much - someone lends me something it gets returned in identical condition I borrowed it or better and I damn well take better care of it than I would if it was my own.

*nods*

It's like me and my sister - chalk and cheese - couldn't be more different in terms of personality, lifestyle and values.

I look at those people who are close with their siblings and say shit like "Oh my sister is my rock/best friend/everything" and I just cannot relate to that whatsoever.

Look like Toht has his trolling hat on again. Stop being a prick.

I agree with Horus on this one. I spend half of my time wondering if my sister is my dads kid and the other half pretending she doesn't exist. In fact, if something were to happen to her, I highly doubt I'd give a shit.

As for the OP, well I agree. If someone lends me something I look after it, probably better than I look after my own stuff, and I expect the same from people I lend my stuff to.

Never a borrower or lender be, alot of people especially young people place little value on things they haven't had to work hard to earn.

I would be pissed too

Yeah much the same here, as an example I've been ripping my DVDs which are located in a special DVD case that can hold a thousand disc's whereas when I did her DVD disc's it required her to pull them out from various draws from under various objects and other locations with the usual scratches and finger prints even though like me she has a box for holding 800 odd disc's.

Me and my sister get on fine but I tend to be more like my mum in terms attitude/behaviour and she is similar to my dad although in some aspects she is definitely worse, you just have to adapt to it and if that means not lending stuff to them then so be it since you'll have a valid reason.

Just because ECA is a member of this community, doesn't mean i can't call him out on stupid behaviour. No trolling, just idiotic to treat your sister like that and then expect good behaviour back. You lot thinkign this is fine says more about you.

All i'm saying is; tak to her like a human being and stop calling her a cunt and outing it for all the world to see. Shock and horror, i'm a bad person

I just find it funny that people get upset when you suggest a sensible and polite option, then call -that- a troll :p

B*tches don't even know what a real troll is.

Treating her like what now? You've failed to even understand the OP before starting a rant. Re read and apologise.

Oh now i need to apologise, He calls his sister a cunt, i don't need to do anything of the sort. Like i said, if that's his opinion of his sister, then he deserves the treatment.

I partly agree with Toht here, seeing that she is your family. You should have taken it up with her right away, and reading it now it seemed like everything worked out anyways.(She seemed reasonable enough for me)

But I also agree with ECT, even tho you are her family. She should take care of the stuff she borrows from you, and make sure you receive it in the same condition as it was at first.

Yes you trolling fool, he didn't treat his sister badly, he called her a cunt here, she doesn't know that. He's done nothing but lend her stuff and had attitude from her, then asked advice. If you can't even understand the thread then stop making posts in it.

Oh my bad, talking sh*t about someone on the internet is a-ok as long as they don't know about it :p

All the "attitude" i saw from his post is "didn't say thanks". What a horrible human being.

Then you need to reread as nothing was returned unbroken, nothing was actually returned they had to be picked up.

Yes let's keep turning and twisting things, quite fine, i'm still waiting for someone to actually say how they disagree with me and that calling your sister a cunt is ok, as long as it's done behind their back.

Me and my sister are very different too and I have now refused to lend her a damn thing. Her DVD collection has an amazing number of DVDs with no boxes. I bin all the boxes and store them in flight case type deals. She keeps all hers in the box, But a load that i did own but now seem to have lost she now owns but threw the box away. She also has a habit of re-lending so her friends borrow stuff that she borrowed from me and she never asks. I find that infuriating so now i just tell her no.

Ch3t is actually right, i should apologise for making a point in a very poor manner. Irony in itself as i was making a point in manners.

So apologies ECA, should've said it in a more polite manner(even if i doubt you're that hurt about it :)), shouldn't post serious stuff in a hangover.

Though i do retain the point about it being a bit off to call your sister that, but i guess i can understand it, in a huff and all.

This. My older brother and I are exactly the same. I take great care and pride over my possessions like DVDs, my brother uses his as tea coasters. Then he borrows my stuff and seems to think the same rules apply :) It even happened with clothes of mine which got "leant" to friends of his and I never saw again. It used to annoy the hell out of me and it still does if I think about it; it is a lack of respect but also I think beyond that he just *doesn't think*. He can't help it, that part of his brain is literally missing. I've given up letting it get to me as that's just part of who he is and now if I lend him things I know what to expect so I can always lay down the ground rules or avoid.

Sounds like it's a pretty common sibling dynamic to me. Interesting, I always thought my brother was just a particularly thoughtless tit sometimes, turns out he's/I'm not alone :)

And RE: the other exchanges, Toht I think we all agree it's not nice to call family members rude words, I agree totally, but sometimes they piss you off and the rude words help express that. And depending on circumstance, sometimes family doesn't mean as much as you think it should. That's personal and it's difficult to judge as an outsider. We all have different ideas about acceptable levels of abuse.

Now that's cleared up, picture time? Yes? :giggle:

EDIT: Toht's post wasn't there when I posted mine

It's not twisting anything it's called reading the first post, basic reading comprehension

He did the brotherly thing and helped his sister out by lending her things she needed.

She basically said "fuck you" and showed no respect for him or his things by retuning it all broken and incomplete without so much as a thank you or sorry I broke them. I fail to see what sitting down and talking to her will achieve. She knows she returned it broken, she didnt feel the need to explain herself and so obviously doesnt give a shit about him, his feelings or his stuff.

Calling her a cunt on the internet where she will never even see it is nothing compared to the disrespect she has shown.
