The theory works as is and i was arguing the seeming argument towards the whole theory, not the "correct formula typing".

If I have x = (3 + y)/f

where x = to be found, y = 3, f = 4

x = (3 + 3)/4

x = 6/4


If I rearrange:

xf = 3 + y

4x = 6

x = 6/4

Basically - it should work either way - multiplication or not - that's the beauty with manipulation of algebra.
