Did you not explain to them how retarded they are?

Edit: Who the fuck buys alcohol free beer anyway? It's disgusting. Even more than UK lager is.

It was not so much the cashiers fault as the system not letting them continue the sale without proof of ID.

Lamp what are doing up, the snooker is on in a min, come on, back to your chair.....the grand kids will be coming round later :D

Yes it is, common sense should tell the cashier the system is wrong in this case, and if he doesn't want to get in trouble he could have called a supervisor / manager over.

Your first mistake was shopping at co-op.

Your second mistake was wanting something that tastes like booze but isn't. Booze tastes bad, my friend ;)

this one is quite awesome, but it's wheat, so if you dont like wheat, it wont be for you.
it's the closest thing to a real beer I've tried, and yes needs to be nice and cold, but so does a good pint.

Nah. Lager needs to be cold because it tastes like shit and warm beer exposes its flavour.

Real ale is the way forward - a cool cellar is all that's needed and flavour is the point :)

/Face palm!

it's an alcohol free wheat beer

as for real ale, that should be served "depending on the beer" 10-14' (8-12 for me)
thats still cold. now, if you want to drink luke warm beer, by all means.

Also all lager tastes like shit ?
is that your opinion or a statement of fact?

On the topic of real ale,
imho, it's turning into a fanatic religion, with narrow minded lemmings as followers,
no better than the wines ponses that swear by the book of Bio-dynamics or Burgundy Terrior
it's hippies in dresses trying to dictate to the rest of us how we should produce,
serve and drink our bevrages.

I like some beers, and dislike others, I like some wines and dislike others, I like some whiskies and dislike others.."you get the jizz"
but I'm not about to tell others what they should or should not do! I can recommend,
but if someone prefers ice in thier single malt ? fine by me - I wouldnt but.....

it's utter nuts! to exclude and deny one self the pleasures of variety, due to some idealistic philosophy based om production methods.

but at the end of the day, I judge the product by taste, and not by production philosophy

Cold pale lager is excellent at the right time, but real ales also go down well at the right time.

Horses for courses.

Is it really alcohol free in UK when it says alcohol free, or is it something like 0.00005?

Could be about that, not really being alcoholic, but still having alcohol. You know, anal rules and all.

Nah. I'd stated it earlier in the thread - UK lagers are shite.

European beers, on the other hand, can be very palletable and should indeed be served chilled.

And what's up with the formatting of your post? Looks like you copied it from a website :)
