I'm more grateful that the fuckers dead tbh.

Seeing him waste away in prison is more of a liability, whereas killing him does the job.

All this crap about "Oh no, he's a martyr though" etc, I couldn't really give a toss about really.

Fuckers dead, end of bloody story.

and so the reign of saddam ends in people crying for bloodshed and vengeance...

only a fool can really think that Iraq will be peaceful again, it will take many many decades and generations for this to stabalise and for the various ethnic groups to forget their diffrences.

or in fact, not
just have to hope the violence starts to die down a bit now. they probably wont stop, the loss of their figurehead wont have a major effect on them, but at least it will mean no-one can rescue him.

and its a bad precident to start executing people under the new government, will probably turn into an Iran-esque place, with amnesty international coming out the woodwork.
as has been said, it was also a shame they did it with the US in the background, which taints it, but a bit late now

im not sorry to see him go, i just think they royally fucked up the whole process :)

i dont know if his death will make a difference or not but if it makes the families of the people he tortured and killed feel better then its a good thing.

any vids released yet?
and on the topic of soldiers died, so fucking what? if you join the army as a fighter do you expect to be invincible like in MGS when you get the red bandana?

if you join the army and goto an active war zone you should expect to die and feel lucky if you dont.

they said Elvis was dead, and yet still in the building and he's alive on some toilet somewhere eating Fat Burger King double whoppers somewhere etc. Sure Saddam is dead, but this shit is really the food of conspiracy theorists, who cares? It ended when he was caught. tbh James Brown being dead is more newsworthy to me :p

I think when people join the army more to protect their own country, than to go off to Iraq and die fighting an illigal war just to make some more money for George Bush and his palls.

Isn't this a bit of a contradiction? as America has the death penalty in many states, as do other countries around the middle east, only we are supposed to think its a bad thing when its countrys that don't suck up to America, and ignore it in countrys that do suck up to them.

no, its a bad thing, period
if we cant stop it , we can at least stop it spreading.
the america comment was that people may think america executed him, rather than the Iraqis, because the US are still the power behind the throne.

Its only caused more trouble.

Yeah sure he was a dictator, but wait there were no chemical weapons, or nothing. What was he trialed for? There have been more problems since the yanks went into Iraq to be honest, we've taken his life, but his loyalists have taken 10x more of our own soldiers lives.

Its getting to a point where i wonder if it was better to leave him to get on with it and die naturally.
