Sms and SC in Lair PL groups

LOL it is a big difference between rollplaying equipment and normal armor like epic,,, ofc a SM with out staff and rollplaying armor sould be asked to put on his real armor and staff .... for if he/she dont under stand the problem with Rollplaying armor and no staff equiped ppl need to explain for he/she the problem.... if he/she still dont want to understan then replace he/she for then he/she is playing supid IMO ........ But you cant compare rollplay equipment and none SCed armor like epic etc,, for all IMO normal ppl know that you cant use rollplay armor and no staff if you want to XP/RVR with other ppl if they not tells you its ok

once i had sc order from farmer supp sm
con/dex/pie/hps/melee resists/supp skill/supp focus
all was done with 1-2 overcharge, i did it on random gems
he had to buy only two or three items from df, all other jewelry slots were free
was so feking cheap

when i come home i will post config for all those lazy gimps

It's used to distance them from what they consider inferior players. All sprung out of a need to prove ( to themselves ) that they are better than anyone else; which is mostly false for those who have to resort to use such a method.

lair, as we know, was fucked over, and fucked over royally; doomed to become the pl cess-pit of midgard that it is today. it didn't happen over night, it happened gradually until one day it became such that you were not elligble to xp there unless you already had a level 50 character of one of three classes and even these had to be of a certain spec.

pac healers. aug shamans. supp sms.

thus the new lair was born. from 45 - 50 Levelling spot for all midgard classes, sleathers and all, to bastardised elitist PL spot run by dishonest listkeepers.

those of us without the correct classes are basically bullied away from the spot, often camped 24/7 by 2 groups of the same people, just using different accounts.

now, not simply satisfied by limiting a zone of the realm to three specifically specialised classes, you're now suggesting that people who have levelled these characters, often just to be able to level their alts, now be subject to their equipment meeting your requirements.

what next? realm ranks? specific realm abilities?

whilst the idea may seem logical, it acts to further seperate the casual gamer from the elitist wank-stain, the newbie from the veteran, help those that need it the least and hinder those that need help the most.

people with ideas like this only ever consider it from their own narrowminded perspective. me. me. me.

lair will never be like it was, but don't make it any worse.

Because people know that if they want to exp another toon they will need to go to lair and group with SMs with 600hp, 1-4% melee resists and 100 dex?

My lvl 42(!) sm has 790 hits, 17x piety, 140 dex. About 10-19% to all melee resists, +9 to supp and 50 focus. (And MCL2)

No sc at all.

Have NEVER been asked to join a malmo grp and get the silent wall when asking for one.

My stats were based on how much I heal Sms for on average at lair. After a 10% rezz you only need 1 heal on em usually to get em to 100%

I dont really care about SC gear, SM's with epic do great too. The only thing that annoys me sometimes is the SM's that rebuff shield once per 30 mins and get one hitted all the time, with shield u can take 3-4 hits, maybe more from these red con drakulvs.
Healers who stun 10 times each inc and and wicked number of SM's that say, how do I pull?

And about the rumour of the SM w\o staff might have been me while my friend ran to galpen and repaired it, but it didn't really matter since I had mcl2, sere3 and pow pots

And yes, I used it myself so flame me for that - dont give a single fuck. How to take a gimped shadowblade to 50 anyway? was better in old days where all classes had their own list! Bring back that system.

that's quite a niaeve (sp?) view, since if you made your own groups, and your own list, you would inevitably have to end up camp stealing to get it to work, which is just as bad as elitism in my opinion.

Malmo is just 1 zone you know. And there are a half dozen spots in malmo alone where 1 group or 2 can exp, depending on level and class spread. Other than Lair you can go

• Yar
• Stone Square
• H
• Lake
• Svartalf camp h4x box thing
• Forest East of Lair
• Camp NE around zone wall from lair.

And as I said, that's just 1 zone. No one forces you to come to lair and wait in a list. I actually find it quite amusing when I'm LK and I tell someone they are 12+ and they just say "ok" instead of asking for names and making their own group.

I remember back in the days when any class could get in at 43+. 90% of groups had 3 SBs as main tanks and a mend shaman as healer, hell I even got in groups with my non-PBT RM, that's how bad it was. Pulling 4 mobs at a time, preying to god that mezz stuck, no end regen, no spread heals, no PBAoE and NO SC.
Everyone has embraced the other improvements, what objection could anyone possibly having to spending a few hundred gold to maximize their stats and resists?

Lair is a spot for people who want to PL quickly using a 2nd account with a PvE group friendly char in efficient group setups

thing is, we all know that the 'lair' spot is the best really. my xp over time has never been matched anywhere else in a fg. not at H, not at Yar, not at the lake.

its the perfect spot really. very little roaming aggro, safe spot, very fast pops, and if you know what you're doing you can rake it in there.

its unfortunate that 'Lair is a spot for people who want to PL quickly using a 2nd account with a PvE group friendly char in efficient group setups' since a great many people don't get to utilise, what is, possibly one of the best xping areas in the realm.

i don't support the vast degrees of seperation in mid.

There will always be degree's of seperation because, basically, everyone is different.
Speaking for myself, the lair is brilliant. Having exped 5 toons to 50 already I don't want to waste any time if I want to exp another. Having somewhere like the lair, which is pure no nonsense PL with pre-defined group setups and that runs 24/7 is perfect. If I had to go through the same exping process I went through with Rulke with my other 4 toons, I would have quit a long time ago. There are many others in the same boat as me, who've done it all before and want to get exping out the way as quick as possible.
Sure this is a bit harsh on 1st or 2nd timers, or those with no access to 2nd accounts. But you could argue that the 1st time you exp you should have to do it normally. There's nothing worse than inviting a level 50 warrior in RvR who doesnt know what guard or engage etc do.

Ill agree there are other spots about, but try building a list when all the really needed classes like healers, dont want to join in case they miss their spot at Lair or Yar, or decide to bugger off after 2 pulls because their spot just came up. It makes the task of building a "normal" group impossible.

As many would say, Epic gear is fine for PvE, and most would have the sense at least to get a staff for the job too. Heck if they are half sensible they would ebark on all the SI quests too and get as much gear as possible. But demanding SCd gear from every player is just daft.

Thing is though, it doesnt need to be full SCed gear. All you need is 3 stats, hits and 1 resist (slash afaik for draks) as well as ofc supp focus, you dont even need to put ablatives on it if you dont want to. I'm not saying this is for everyone coming to lair but for those SMs and Healers that many people use its essential.
Capping your stats with non SCed stuff is fine as long as its not some 85% qua crap, kinda defies the point then. And whats the point of spending hours getting epic armour when you could get SCed stuff in less than half the time?
