Just asking around, seesm to be going around;

past nights been having maybe a few hours of sleep, very cut/paste, problems sleeping and waking early.

Same with roomie, bro, some roomies co-workers etc etc.

Bro threw out that "Well it's the end of ramadan!" :D

"The start-time of Eid al-Fitr depends sensitively on the lunar phase--i.e., when the first crescent of the next cycle is sighted on Sept. 9th."

Also, on a fun fun asteroid thing;

Two asteroids, each about 10 to 15 meters wide, will fly past Earth within hours of one another on Sept. 8th. Although both are coming inside the orbit of the Moon, there is no danger of impact. At closest approach, 2010 RF12 will be 77,000 km (0.2 LD) away; 2010 RX30 will be even farther at 231,000 km (0.6 LD).

Maybe everyone isn't sleeping because we abouts to die! ;)

I have a severe sleeping issue in my opinion. Have absolutely no problem falling asleep, normally within 5 minutes, but staying asleep is another matter. Most nights I will wake up every 2 hours.

Diet is the most likely problem Deebs. What do you eat and drink after 6pm on a typical day, and what time do you go to sleep?

I stop drinking coffee/tea/pepsi/coke etc around 3pm, in the evenings it will be orange squash, food wise, pasta, restuarant meals, soups etc.

As to when I go to bed I have tried all times from 10pm till 1am in an attempt to get a good nights sleep. Nothing has worked.

Christ that is a hard one to answer.... :p

Btw, spoke to the kids, they adamantly denied that he was fired but was offered "options". Will try and call you tomorrow to fill you in.

Btw, did Boycee speak to you? Might be doing a night out in Farnham this coming Saturday (cannot do Friday as I am at a wedding with Allison).

sorry Toht for the hijack

I never sleep a full night, i either go to bed about 12.00 and wake up at 4.30, or i wake up on the sofa at about 5am and then go to bed, only to have to get up at 6.30 feeling like shit. But i can fall asleep at 5pm in the office for about 2 hours, no problem with that one

Deebs, don't have any juice, or alcohol for at least 2 hours before bed if you can. Make sure you give yourself an hour and a half between food of any type and bed.

I had one of my wisdom teeth removed yesterday and caught a mild fever around bedtime. Does anyone know those fever dreams where you´re doing the same thing over and over again? I think I tried to solve a code puzzle that was supposed to keep a bomb from getting off for five hours straight. :lol:

Apart from that, my sleeping cycle is pretty much fucked up anyways. I never go to bed before 2 AM, cat needs her insulin shot at 6:30 AM and I often can´t go back to sleep after that. *slowly turns into Gollum*

I've had insomnai all of my life, it is a common symptom of Aspergers. I sleep maybe three ours per night if I am lucky and then once every ten days or so I will crash for maybe 15 hours, which as you can imagine is quite inconvenient for work.

I have tried all cures, both pharmacological and traditional, but nothing works. I have seen specialists about it, and recieved a lot of shrugs. All I can do is find something constructive to do with my time until my mind decides it is time to shut down for the day.

Do you get used to it over time? Does it become normal?

For the most part, yeah I just find something constructive to do with my time. It's not that I don't feel tired, I do, but I simply can't shut down. The major problems come when I am ill - colds and such take quite a long time to go away because even when I am quite ill, I still don't sleep, so it takes a while to recover. It isn't something that every Aspie struggles with, but some have even worse problems with sleep than I do.

I´ve noticed since i moved my mobile from just next to the bed to my desk i sleep way better, when i had the mobile next to the bed i normally woke up a few times every night, tossed and turned before falling to sleep again 10-20 min later. Now i sleep the night thru.
