Although you would have pissed a lot of people off if she had woken and screamed the place down, lol

Is only the 11 am show once or twice a week.

Their website warns you if it's a baby friendly viewing!

Our local cinema does the same thing, and my missus used to go when our daughter was tiny, but its my idea of hell. I go to the flicks to get some adult time! Don't get me wrong, happy to go off and see Madagascar with toddlers bouncing off the walls, but if its a grownup film, its adults only as far as I'm concerned.

he won the DB5 in the poker game in Casino Royale from the bleeding eye man, although i understand what you are saying, as Craigs Bond is supposed to be a reboot, but they still had Judi Dench as M, when she was Brosnans M too

Just watched Casino Royale again last night. It wasn't bleeding eye man it was swarthy sidekick with fit missus, but it still makes no sense. He makes a point in Skyfall of saying the Aston is not a "company car" (so not bugged), so are we saying he had it shipped back from the Bahamas and fitted out with machine guns and an ejector seat? How? Why, more to the point?

Good. Not a-maze-ing.

Glad I went to see it. Throwaway trash but pretty throwaway trash.

Saw it. Loved it. Really good fun and far better than QoS and a lot of the other trash that comes out these days. Better than CR if you ask me.

Tbh, get over the Aston Martin. You're being anal. Its a nod to the old timeline and I think it's a great addition.

Who cares that it doesn't make perfect chronological sense if its a reboot ?

People also fall off bridges all the time in movies and make miraculous reappearances - it'd be dull if it was all explained. The ice thing was silly, but imo mainly because they showed too much of what happened underwater, therefore making it too obviously implausible.

He defibs himself in CR following being poisoned and then runs around ffs.

The only bit that makes I sad/confused is that the whole movie is about protecting M, and then she goes and dies anyway - and the bad guy was planning to top himself too. So he won. Basically.

Really good Bond film.

Loads of nods to previous Bonds, even some really, really subtle ones.
A facial 'Jaws' like deformity, a hand to hand fight scene underwater etc.

First Bond to carry a visual style that's fairly unique without detracting from the film itself. Some beautiful colour gradients and washes.

Agree the moaning about the DB5 is a bit shit.

The only bit that didn't make any sense to me really was the explosion for the tube crash. What purpose did that serve? Are we really expected to believe that he knew Bond would catch up with him in that exact room? I can't see how it would have facilitated his escape either, he already had cover as a policeman.

I do still think that they need to ditch the modern presentation and editing of car chases though. Go back to the old style, show us everything - let the chase choreography do the work, don't try and push tempo and tension through editing alone.

Also for ages I was wondering where I recognised Tanner (M's assistant). Then I remembered where and spent the entire film thinking "But you fucked a pig!" :(

You can explain the tube thing as grandstanding - he knew where and when it was going to happen so he waited for Bond there. I don't think it was necessarily done to cover his escape route, more as misdirection to draw the emergency services in.

If you want a real "doesn't make sense" moment, than I'd suggest plugging in the laptop of a supposedly elite hacker into your internal network would be a better candidate. Although given the Security Services' track record with laptops maybe that's no so implausible; in real life Q would probably have left it in a taxi or something

I suppose you could explain it like that.

And with the laptop thing, could easily just be a case of cocky young Q gets a little above himself. Don't think that's anywhere near as hard to believe as the tube thing tbh :D

The tube was spreading complete chaos and distraction, making it look like a terror attack and focus all the attention there (?what will happen next), which allowed him to disappear off in his car and then walk in and have a shot at M.

Plus all the police brought in by the explosion gave him a perfect disguise both in his clothes and in his escape vehicle.

I still sad M died :(

Why are you retards discussing plot holes and silly innacuracies of a comic book movie - MOST of it made NO SENSE WHATSOEVER - it's just a theme-park ride and good fun for it!

Stop reading more into it than it deserves :)

If the movie had a real problem (and I didn't think it had many, I really enjoyed it), it was that I thought there was a pretty significant change in tone from the first part of the movie to the last hour or so.

As it should have, it needed to match the on-screen events. It would be nonsensical to continue the second half in the same way as the first.

Well....what actually happens on screen in your opinion to justify the shift in tone? To be honest I'm having a hard time putting into words what the shift was, but I just felt that it was there and I have heard a lot of people say things like "it was two different movies".

The shift is the moment the court house is stormed, nowhere conventional is safe for M and Bond and they have to go on the run. They can't keep the same tone from the first half in the second because the situation has changed so drastically.

YOUR A BAD PERSON AND YOUR WRONG!

No actually that makes some sense....I guess the change I noticed was the change from him being cat to him being mouse.
