I personaly hope number drop. 160 people on the last raid. It took ages, less chance for a drop in the lotto and Apoc always bugs out with 120+ people, maybe it's the lag.

I hope they do.

I, and many others, havent been on these Saturday sidi runs in a while due to the stupid lag of well over 100 people being present, with FAR too many of them being utterly clueless and seemingly doing every stupid thing they can think of.

Demand for the various toys Sidi has to offer means numbers wont drop significantly any time soon I expect, regardless of the 'rules' used to distribute the loot.

Good

Ok well done Falcor, now we know the rules, thats all I wanted to know.

Glottis, go Midgard please, there's more elitist players like you there...albs contain only noobs

Well, the noobs are those that are opposing the fact that a unique weapondrop coming from Apoc should be used by someone active in rvr. People then go on to claim that rvr is not everything, and that pve is also important, but that is not want this game is about. It is realm vs realm, and so the best gear should go to those that defend the realm the most.
Not some guy who does have a life outside daoc, and just wants the sword cause it is nice and flashy.. Rather, give it to the guy that just plays daoc all day, and RR is a nice indication of this.
Regards, Glottis

thanks :)

As much as I dislike this rule - I'm much much happier it's set in stone rather than a "maybe possibly" thing.

This kinda makes sense Glottis, well done, now if all these elite people would get their asses out of emain and stop zerging and show up to defend keeps in their OWN frontier once (eventhough we dont have relics atm)
its prettymuch the same people taking back keeps in Albion and certainly not the RR5+ rp-whores in emain

Being picky now, but you can't be a mithrilaire.

The amount of plat any one person can hold is limited by a hardcoded upper bound.

And it's significantly less than one mithril, I think it's 150 plat atm, rising to 250 plat in teh housing patch.

afaik.

The Mithril slot is just there to look pretty. ;)

it goes up to 200 with the housing patch,

so if you have 5 alts...

Sorry to be a bit picky but ......

This leaves us with just the following ambiguous line.

-I reserve right to ask to keep warlord sword(1h) should one drop.

Personally I have no problem with preclaiming, as long as its upfront and clear. So what is this ?

Thanks Falcor, think that was the right decision.

Now everybody can think about if they can live with this rule or not but whatever they decide, they can´t say the didn´t know in advance.

I'd take it as "I preclaim that sword" - he can then turn around and give it up for lotto if he feels nice :)

But if yer going on the raid, assume he's preclaiming it before you decide whether or not to go.

basically bleri

i want it yes, but its never dropped and may not even exhist, so i dont want to put i claim and everything and then get the flames for a non exhistant sword, plus if stats r not as expected(i want it for specific reasons) then i wont bother...i wanted to give ppl the choice should it drop, vote on it etc

but as ppl dont seem to like to have the choice about what happens ive edited it out

say that then :) "Should this weapon exist and drop, I'll hold a vote on whether I can keep it or not, majority decides."

As long as it's clear it's good :)

Those rr5++ leet people are supposed to have a full sc too or then they are not so good at what they do. Maybe low rr need them more cause they haven't made SC yet? :D
Also seeing some of those leet people selling drops cause they don't wanna fit them in their SC. So, that doesn't make big difference.
Also Falcor every Saturday after raid you seem in not so good condition after the raids and i understand it with so many people involved and all the hassle. But instead of making a break you go on and make a second raid in the week. In the end you kinda ask for it ;)
Maybe tru guild raids or something. Personally i will stop going to Saturday raids cause of the loads of people making me lag. This Saturday i must have had the record with 6-7 lds. Furthermore i never got anything in those and keep going with a s/s class is not that good for my chances. I hope the wednesday raid will be less laggy.

would this be a possible solution:
if ppl under RR5 roll for a apoc weapon they roll /100 and ppl who are RR5 or over roll /150 then at least the lowbies have some chance of getting the weapon, and the RR5:s have better chance?

Not having ANY chance is a real turnoff, i personally wouldnt go on raid. PVE is not THAT fun once you have done it once, waste 6 hours for nothing..naa. And not telling ppl about the "RR5-rule" untill AFTER is wrong...surely you must see this.

And we do understand your problem Falcor (most of us with IQ over 90), not easy to keep everybody happy, but you must try do find another solution then to keep ppl in the dark, take advantage of them and then..."well guess you are all out of luck...the RR5-rule is active - soz- better luck next time *maybe*".

Thanks Falcor :)

I think we can take it that the sword exists, wether or not its right for you is another thing :p

ilienwyn .. on the subject of the world and his dog having sc'ed gear ... Bleri doesnt. OK hes only RR4/4 and thats because he went into semi- retirement. Even though he is back out of retirement I have no intention of paying mega bucks for a suit of Plate for him :p ( my sorc is diferent at a fraction of the cost i can max or almost max everything). However he does want a full set of sidi armour and a Blackened Arcanium Ravager

Given the numbers that turned up for some of Aligro's more farcical Sidi raids youd do fairly well even with that :p

Wouldnt be so sure that it does exist.

The apoc-only loot tables appear to complement the loot tables unique to some of the later mobs/bosses. Theres already a fairly decent (slow) 1h slasher (Fate Slayer's Mandible) which only drops fairly deep into Sidi.

Only time will prove whether it exists or not ;)

This whole thread is hilarious.

Falcor if you hate doing these raids so much and expect everyone to pucker up and kiss you arse for doing them then perhaps they should stop, let someone else run it, someone whose ego can actually fit into Caer Sidi.....

Just my thoughts.....
