and nothing to do with Planet of the apes

grendel wasnt a prehistoric apeman either though, he is described as being a beast/ monster type thinger.

The 'ape' came from some punter at the roundtable looking at the concept art...

If you look at the concept art on www.darkageofcamelot.com there's quite a big bit of difference between that and the final products...

So there's plenty of room for them being flesh-eating beast-types
