I was a member of Avalanche's fixed group for RvR (group 2)
From day 1 I was suspicious about radar users, Scargill was the one I suspected at first. Our fixed theurgist for our group.

I am sorry but at time I didn't think it was a big deal so didn't chat log (buggers up on me) nor take ss at end of night as i lded so missed all the lovely inc, 2fg mids (direction).
So I informed our online officer, also our group Leader, Shreko

A bit of the reply I got in there. You can see how he took it ingame, then informed Scargill that i was going to inform Kemor about my suspicions (at end of the night, first night with Avalanche in RvR i was personally 90% sure he used it, never had i seen such a blatent person, so prominent in showing us where every enemy was in a very far out of clip range distance).

Which I now regret , after discussion with Shreko and threats, I didnt report him in the end as I didnt wish to cause the Guild any harm from just 1 person.

After that, Scargill was informed that I suspect him and alot of denial on his part, I didn't see any evidence of him showing it so prominentely after day 1 , nor ANY inc's msg, he must of gone blind.

Now I started to suspect shreko, after my descussion about Scargill with him the follow night and day.

Also he now started showing VERY prominently (no way as bad as scargill though on the first day rofl, silly boy think no-one will notice)
He would say INC to most FG's inc and also run ahead if resting or in group move back to mez them.

My fellow guild m8s Nave, Darwin and others who wish me not to reveal them, noticed Shreko using it also. (NOT scargill , only i noticed him for some reason, as he only used it the first night... odd only i noticed it and said in rage about it in GC) the same night, which also frightened him I bet.

Scargill and Shreko seamed to be very close, just newly knowing each other also. As shown in above pictures it shows how Scargill knew shreko was also on his side, "behind him yea !"

Anyway 1 night I had a big arguement, being at Bled faste defense on Sunday, and missed guild group for 1 hour and alot others didnt log on, so i got blame for group not working that night.
That night in rage i said what i suspected, about Scargill and Shreko ... which went on for ages.

Monday, I logged on and scargill seams to be happy. Apparently he, and only he discussed with Shreko my removal from G2 (NO others officers or people from G2 knew what was discussed, nor included in it) and was happy.
But to his dismay Shreko was not online for Monday, nor tuesday.
He contiued to try argue with me and poke in i was removing and that "he dont use radar no, he dont have linux".
Wednesday came and Shreko was online, I had been told off him I was removed, reason was that I disobayed officer order on sunday night and didnt come to guild group.

He would not decuss any more on this matter, no matter what I said. So I left g2 which I was in (other chosen minstrel which Shreko got SCARGILL to recruit a replacement for me was not online, rofl)
Then shreko tried ordering me again to join and I wouldnt
And so for that he removed me from the guild (well will get when GM is online)

Very nice story of my stay in the guild, and I will say that I do like the guild and the members, just 2 mishaps i came across NOT the guild itself.

I hope this enlightn's people on how, G2 Avalanche, are so good at finding people, or as Shreko also said "I don use radar i use lag ghosts, like all sorcs do" rofl wouldnt we all see them then.

If GOA would really care they would monitor the gank squads on a regular basis. I'm sure that all of them have radar users with em. Its just too tempting to get your group that "little" advantage... you have to take the game not too serious to resist that temptation and the gank guilds take it VERY serious.

There's several people in daoc lately have made me very suspicious of them cheating, if it is the case i hope they get a permanent ban.

I have already reported 1 person in daoc recently for cheating(infact the 1st ever person i have done in 2 years of daoc) or reasons why they could be, if this person IS cheating then i hope they never play again.

Vivace if you find a cheater or someone suspicious just report it with logs or screenies like the case here there's no real point posting it here, pm kemor perhaps or just send to rightnow.

The BEST thing to do would be to get to contact kemor, discuss with him a way he can help solve and rid these cheats from daoc, afterall the guy is in charge of prydwen i am sure he could monitor rvr from time to time.Perhaps he might even reply to this thread which i hope he does.

Yup, I think Mythic dealt well with radar users, GOA should do the same.

We've had this discussion already and I really think you're going a bit to far with all these conspiracy theories of yours.

I actually find that the gank groups are the LEAST likely to use radars for fear of being banned from the game and losing their reputation amongst the other rvr guilds.

lol,so everyone who runs gankgroups has a radaruser?that's the most stupid thing i've ever heard.i know alot of people from gankgroups and i know alot of them would rather not play then to use cheats.

unfortunetly, its not too uncommon a guy like faderullan gets accused for using radar by fellow albs, seen it happen 3-4 times or so the time i've been in PE. mostly this is by guys that doesn't have pe's /gu available to them

the talk u had with shreko is really weird, basically he asks you what you'd do if he told you that he knows 4+ people in avalanche uses radar?. why would he ask for something as specific as 4+?, if he didn't already know that 4+ was using it.

the fact he says that. lemme quote: but if some1 wanna use it i think its np for guild, we haven't ruled that censored radar.

so basically if u use radar when u lead an avalanche group, its ok?

Well all i can say there is no real proof of radar in this thread. Only some suspects, but no hard evidence.

I can only say that u must be VERY STUPID to accuse people about such thing unless you are 100% sure.

P.S Avalanche never used radar and never will, that is for sure. And if some1 cant distinguish Incoming Lag and Radar, that another story....

Im very sorry I had to do this, Avalanch's GM.
You did not group with them everday for over a week, so im sorry but you have no comment to say what was Inc lag or not.

Well lets put it this way, if Avalanche impossibly get the jump on groups from now on they should consider reporting them. The thread doesn't prove anything but it makes me very suspicous, for that reason alone people need to keep an eye on Avalanche for a while.

I wasn't sure what to think at first, scargill and vivace arguing pretty mutch since i joined avalanche, and i still am not sure what to believe, tho it doesnt look nice :/

I lead the g2 group, if someone says inc i run around and try to find enemies, but didnt get suspicious bout any radar users before vivace started telling about what he thought.
I remember 1 or 2 strange inc's in rvr, but then again weve had loads as we rvr 3 hours a day every day.

Id like to see what someone from goa or whatever has to say about this cuz im rather confused, maybe just trust people too mutch or maybe viv trusts people too little... even tho these screenies/logs dont make me think better of the situation

yes i take rvr/daoc very seriously as some people mightve noticed.. and id rather quit game than use cheats

actually this post will,if they use radar that is,make them very carefull or even stop using it for a wile and seeing as for radar they need to bait them and can't just check logs you might have made them get away with it...
report them first next time anyway

If you suspect someone's using cheats, act normal about it until you get a solid confession

I stopped playing CS because of all the cheats and resulting paranoia, DAoC might die the same way unless GoA take action now. At least make players aware of their intentions because atm, there's no indication that GOA even care about cheats like Radar.

The only sure way to detect radar users - is by someone else using radar... sad...but true

There are so many apps out there now that do this its about time Mythic changed the encoding from server -> client with each patch - that'll screw up the cheaters for a while

Most people never even consider using cheats, however, most doesnt include everyone, but to say that every gankgroup has a radaruser is pure bullshit

and tbh, i dont find using cheats that 'tempting' at all, ive played alot of games and cheats are the things that ruin games not make them more fun, and will in the end scare all the people away you want to play with...

also, the people who take the game 'too' serious are usually not the ones who cheat, people that cheat in games usually have a "fuck it" attitude...

Well i didnt notice anything untill Vivace pointed it out, then started to see that there were a few slightly premature calls of "inc" from shreko before alot of fights.

However:
We get jumped (several times today in fact) and run into zergs that presumably would be avoided if someone had radar.

A lot of suspision and some suspect circumstances lead to accusations, I, like Straef would like to see what GOA/whoever have to say and untill then and/or some hard proof is produced and make a solid judgement.

Today i am 100% sure that nobody was using radar in group 2 and we did better than we have done in a while.

This is all getting a bit political

Fyi...Everlast is a guild wich kinda fits into the category u here refer to as "gank grps"....yes we do take the game serioulsy. But would never even be tempted to use such a cheat/prog. And mebe to add a nice litte detail about everlast, the average IRL age in Everlast is 27-28 years....so I hope we dont fall into the 1337-kiddo-16-yearold-fotm-radar-abusing-gank-grps-etc-etc-osv category.

Hi all ! I am not often write on forum, coz my english so crap and it hard for me.
I have played in daoc almost 2 yars and now I meet person that blame me I am radar user. I think here are ppl who know me on excal/hibernia excal/midg camlann, and I don't think some1 like said I am radar user. In those screens were just my think about radar etc. everyone can have opion about it.
First I have to say Ava never been radar guilds and never will.
In screens where I said about 4 radars users was just example it's not true offcourse.

I think it's all - just Viva revenage for he got disbanded from rvr group and guild soon (I hope).

And I made only one mystake - open my mind to paranoya man.
Paranoya is so bad sickness, Viva, u should go to doctor and check ur health I am really worry about u.

If some1 else sure about I am radar user plz post here, but if u sure as well.

Im getting inc lag aswell, it warns me whenever alot of people are entering my characthers LOS (although they not have to be in my direct view), and that i have to put down my book or food or stop surfing...

thats just bad programming, its not like i can turn it off or something
