I just can't understand or possibly fathom that any half sane English person would consider beating a kid in such a way as a "suitable or effective" punishment. But then again, these things still suprise me - however this is the very thing that is indeed acceptable in other cultures, religions and countries. Yeah the kid needs a slap round the head and to be taught a lesson, without a doubt. And if the kid was 5/6 years older, I'd have probably handed the woman in question a fresh iron bar and cleaned the blood off the old one for her.

Here's where I have the problem - you've basically suggested you think that she battered this kid with a pipe because she was a Slovak and perhaps that's acceptable over there. As someone with some Slovakian family I find that pretty offensive. Assuming she did actually do what the daily mail claims she did, then I think it's pretty obvious that she's just (as I said before) a psycho-hose-beast. I can only see this objectively - I can't say "she did this, he did that" - I'm hearing it only through BBC's site and through this thread, meaning neither myself or anyone else should be quick to pass judgement on either participant. I do think I come across as being a bit BNP in my first thread - perhaps I can blame that on the media themselves as spinning it that way a little in the fist place. I work in a very small office and the amount of arguments I have had with grown men who have families over people who they do not consider to be British is unbelievable. I have no doubt these views are picked up by their children. Children are just being poorly educated nowadays, they think being patriotic means anyone that is not white and speaks in a local accent should be sent packing.

I wasn't generalising about race or nationality though, i was generalising about the type of kid who hangs around bigging themselves up because they think no one will do anything about it (and they never do as they are too afraid to hit kids that young in general) I live in a nice area and we have dozens of the little shits hanging round (and not all white british, there are quite a mixed bunch racially, although most appear to be british..)
